Long day of travel. Rain had just restarted. Booked a room in transit. Check in was quickly completed so that I could get elderly family member and my dog to room. Was able to get requested room close to elevator.Safety: Felt quite safe gathering items to carry in despite the downpour.Walkability: Our nonagenarian aunt and dog were able to be taken to room conveniently located.

I really struggled to give this hotel a full five star review, but I will get to that later. We arrived late last night in the hotel staff were so kind and helpful. The updated rooms are beautiful and the bed and pillows comfortable. The free hot continental breakfast was outstanding with options like sausage, eggs, biscuits, and gravy, and even blueberry waffles. We stayed in room 123 just down the hall from the reception area so now for the not so fun part. Like I said, we got in very late last night and at 6:20 AM. Hotels staff were discussing their day outside of our room, and about an hour later, we heard clunk clunk clunk clunk clunk clunk clunk clunk Only to find out that we were two doors down from housekeeping and the laundry room. Needless to say we did not get nearly enough sleep after a 13 Hour drive to look forward to another 8 Hour drive.Still, despite the sleep deprivation, I felt that this hotel deserved at least 4 1/2 stars

Rooms were great and clean. Maintenance and Breakfast area staff were very friendly. But, they gave me a room right next to the closet with the laundry chute and I had my dog with me. (A very friendly well-trained sheepadoodle that got lots of love from maintenance and other hotel staff ♡).I wondered what the door perpendicular to my room entry door was but didn't really pay it any mind.Well, shortly before 8am my dog heard people directly outside our door (as did I) and started to bark. Then again...and again...and again...and again. When I took her for a walk, the mysterious door had been propped open so I could see it was the Laundry chute. Who would put a person with a dog next to the door for the laundry chute?! ??♀️So, my morning was spent trying to keep the dog quiet. Everything took forever to do since I was trying to keep her quiet while doing it and imagine that...I was late checking out. I called down a few min after 11 to tell them I could likely be out at 1130. Then someone KNOCKS on my door to tell me I'm late checking out at 1120. Another 5-10 min to quiet the dog again after that 2-3 min interruption then the front desk calls me at 1138 to scold me for not being out yet when I said 1130.O.M.G I have never experienced such a thing. I politely voiced my frustration with the situation...I had wanted to be back on the road before 11am myself!! Not even an apology for the oversight of room placement and the interruption 20 min after having called down to say I'd be out in 30.I thought I'd found my new "stop off hotel" clean, great breakfast, but NOT what I'd call owner of the dog friendly!!! ?Rooms: Clean and modernFood & drinks: Breakfast was awesome! Fresh mini and full size waffles, regular and blueberry flavors, sausage, all the works and very friendly staff

If you are staying in the Powell area, definitely stay at the Comfort Inn. It has recently been remodeled and is beautiful. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. The lobby and dining areas are beautiful. Joseph at the front desk went out of his way to make sure that my mother had a wonderful stay and is the friendliest guy. The rest of the staff are also very friendly and do a good job.

Rooms were clean. The pillows sucked and were nearly flat. Room cleaning/towels during stay was non existent we had to go to the front desk everytime we needed clean towels, trash bags, toilet paper. Front desk charged us twice once through Priceline and then again at hotel check in which we had to fight the hotel on. They allow dogs which you could hear at any hour through the hallways. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone and will not return.

The rooms were freshly renovated and looked great! One of the best Comfort Inns I have stayed at. The up-lighting built into the headboard during the renovation was a nice touch to keep glare off the TV. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was easy to access. I arrived around midnight and the agent working behind the desk already had my keys ready to go, which made for a much appreciated speedy check in since it was so late. For the price, this hotel is a great value. The breakfast offered includes sausage gravy for the biscuits, which is a nice touch and something I have not seen in other Comfort Inns I have stayed at (at least compared to Texas, Florida, California, Virginia, and Arkansas). I would be happy to stay here again. I was traveling with a cat and the room was cat friendly. There were not any spaces where my cat was able to get stuck.

We stayed here on our roadtrip back home. We were deciding between a few hotels, including one we stayed at on our way down. People who had recently reviewed this hotel were either delusional from lack of sleep or really generous. This hotel had received pretty good reviews and multiple people stated that it was renovated. Renovated, yes. Done well? Far from it.Our room: nasty smell, faucet handles were loose and did not even match. Toilet lid was loose and didn't seem to fit properly. Air conditioner did not work well at all. We has it cranked all the way and we were sweating.Pet policy: I have never stayed at a pet friendly hotel where they charged per dog. For a hotel of this standard, a $25USD/dog fee seemed atrocious.Staff: nothing to really mention because we checked in late and were out early. We have never stayed at a Comfort Inn before and we will never again. If this is considered renovated, I quiver at non-renovated.

This is the very best Comfort Inn we have ever stayed at. Nice and quiet the rooms have been redone they're beautiful. Young man that was at the desk was very pleasant. I'm looking online and most of your newer Comfort Inns do not allow pets now which is very disappointing.Food & drinks: The young lady that was in charge of breakfast did a great job she was very pleasant very good selection biscuits and gravy, eggs, cereal, everything was fresh.

It’s clean and convenient to the highway, while still being quiet. My only complaint was there were multiple signs around the hotel with a QR code to give tips, which was very off putting. I’ve never seen that in any other hotels and it seemed like a money grab.
