Pet Care
The Animal Care Center of Ooltewah
9124 Amos Rd, OoltewahThere are not enough words to express the kindness, care and compassion that Dr. Mullin and his staff showed to both our German Shepherd and us. Cooper somehow ended up with a twisted stomach and emergency surgery had to be performed. It was at closing time when we brought him in and without hesitation he called in some of his staff that had already left and performed this life saving surgery. We would have lost our beloved shepherd had he not done so. Anyone looking for a GREAT vet and staff need look no further than The Animal Care Center of Ooltewah.

easyvet Veterinarian Ooltewah
5024 Hunter Rd Suite 110, OoltewahI had to put my 15 year old dog to sleep. Everyone was so nice and comforting. Dr. Garwood and her helper were very understanding and explained each step to me. They made me feel at ease.
I would highly recommend this place.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants
Hoptown Craft Beer, Cocktails, and Wine
9431 Bradmore Ln #101, OoltewahYou can find Hoptown Beer Bar at 9431 Bradmore Ln Ste 101, Ooltewah, TN 37363. This is in a newish retail village and while not technically Chattanooga, it's close enough that it may be worthwhile to visit if you're nearby. There's plenty of parking nearby so you don't have to walk far. This neat beer bar reminds me of the crowler shops that you used to find around Atlanta, with around 30 taps containing about a thrid local beer, so you can sample several local breweries without visiting each one (they're mostly not too near each other so this is very convenient). The taproom "beertender" seemed to be fairly knowledgeable regarding the various offerings - there's also a convenient list highlighting the different beers with style notes. We sat at the bar and were able to bring in some food from the nearby restaurants (I grabbed some wings at the nearby Marthie Ann's which were excellent). To drink I tried Hoptown's own Orange Mango Wheat - a somewhat basic wheat beer with hings of sweet tangerine and mango - nothing special. I had a Maine Brewing "Lunch" with the wings which is always a winner - it's an exceptional New England IPA. Service was great - I can see myself hitting Ooltewah just to come by for a break in driving.

Wine Down Bistro
9447 Bradmore Ln #101, OoltewahI put five stars because this is one of our go to restaurants. We love this place, love its food and how seriously the chefs take how the customers enjoy their art.
And because I know the owners and the chefs take constructive criticism seriously, I will have to say the braised beef was a miss, at least last night. It was very fatty and there probably could not have been more than 6 ounces of beef, pre-cooked, and there just really wasn’t much to it other than the accompanying plated vegetables and pasta. Our table had one of their burgers, which always kill. We also had the hanger steak which was spot on, and we always have appetizers, consisting of Brussel sprouts and fried cheeseballs. Last night was no exception. They are to die for. We hope they bring back the lobster gnocchi. We know it is seasonal but if you see it on the menu and you don’t grab it, you have missed out. Any hiccup with the braised beef was more than made up for their crazy, good staff, friendly cool environment, and great location in Cambridge. Thanks and keep up the good work, folks.
