We have used Armstrong for both a cross country and a local move. Fantastic experience. Every team member worked hard, and all were courteous. We stored our belongings for several months, and everything arrived intact when we moved in our new house. Sorry some folks had a bad experience. We had a great experience with this company and would definitely use them again.

I contracted out a move from Fargo North Dakota to Roanoke VA. I used Armstrong Relocation and they contracted the cross country drive with Nick Caracci from United Van Lines. The initial process was relatively smooth. I did get a call a week before the move from the packing team asking if they could come the day before they were scheduled to pack everything before the driver Nick Caracci showed up. This was a great idea and it made for a smooth pick up the day our things were loaded. Nick Caracci showed up 20 minutes early and did a walk through. He was impressed everything was well packed and ready to go. He contracted out labor for the day and the helper showed up on time. Nick was professional, speedy and carefully treated out things as though they were his. We were very impressed with his effort and work. I would recommend him to friends and family if I could.

We moved from Tennessee to Louisiana between Christmas and New Years. Great experience and crew. Everyone was very nice and worked hard. I hope we don't have to move again, but would absolutely use again.

I have moved long distance twice previously for everyone's perspective. I have moved locally with professionals 4 times as well. So I feel that I have worked with a good amount of moving companies. We hired Armstrong relocation to move us from Chattanooga to Nashville. We paid for packing and moving to be handled directly by them. The move was planned to be done over the course of 3 days. The first day 3 men arrived on time as planned. I immediately noticed that the crew leader (Jason) was the slowest moving person I have ever seen. He remained in my 10x12 kitchen the entire first day while the 2 younger guys were upstairs. There were many smoke breaks from a couple of the guys. The first day I had to ask them to keep packing 3 times. They lied and told me they ran out of boxes. The 2 younger guys were absolutely horrible at packing and mixed up random items haphazardly smashed together. We signed off on the move early as we were due to be in Nashville the next morning. They promised me they would move everything that their policy allowed. I had also payed a cleaning service to clean the house prior to sale. She went to the house at 3:30 pm on Tuesday and called me to say that there was tons of stuff everywhere and she would have to come another day. She also witnessed them smoking. They told her they were short one mover because he was fired for a no call no show that day. The next day when she went back to clean she informed me they left behind a desk. On the 3rd day when the 2 movers arrived at new place in Nashville arrived they were late. They called in a non affiliated mover who lives in Nashville to assist ( he was early). When I asked where the desk was the leader (Jason) told me one of the guys took it home-so he lied right to my face. They also brought a female along and claimed she was there to unpack. Jason and the female remained in the truck during the whole move in process. At the end of the move Jason came in just to have me sign off. He did help carry 1 mattress. They did not assemble my couch properly. There are many broken items as a result of their poor packing. I am also missing a framed wedding photo. We had a 3rd party unpacking service (CMS and they were awesome). I would not use this company again and not recommend them.

Would give a zero star if at all possible. Used Armstrong Relocation to move my belongings in to my new house. I had no choice in the matter as my company moved me as part of a relocation package. The movers did their job and moved all of my belongings into our new house without issue. Things appeared to be flawless. Until.... Several months later I get hit with a lawsuit by one of the movers claiming that my dog had viciously mauled him and apparently caused over four hundred thousand dollars in medical bills and damages (despite that simple fact that my dog never bit him). This went to court in front of a jury trial. Turns out that each mover on my property that day had a criminal record. Yes, this happened. Be careful with this moving company. Shady at best. If you do choose to use them, protect yourself. Protect your family. Have cameras on the movers at all times.

If I could give them zero stars I would. The worst customer service I've received in a long time! I did a military move from the Seattle area to the DC metro area. Everything was going fine until my stuff left my condo...at which time communication from the company completely stopped. I understand that arrival is subject to traffic, etc, but I didn't find out when my stuff was arriving until the day before. I was also notified that my stuff had been split into 2 shipments the day before it was due to arrive. The second part should show up one week later, they assured me. This turned into a total headache since the arrival for the rest of my stuff was then rescheduled 3 times, one time which I was notified about the night before via email. I live in a big apartment building and have to reserve a freight elevator, not easy to do last minute. Turns out that instead of delivering my stuff to my apartment they stuck it in temporary storage 40 miles from my building, also without telling me. Finally my stuff arrived 2 weeks after it was guaranteed to be delivered. I demanded compensation for breaking the contract the company had with the military, and was promised compensation. It's now been a month and everytime I call the company blows me off. The only good thing about this move was the companies that they subcontracted on either end to pack and to deliver my stuff, they were nice people and hard working. But I will never ever use this company again because of all the customer service issues, and I recommend that you do the same.

Ok, this is my first negative review of anyone so please bear with me. Armstrong Relocation is literally the WORST company I have EVER dealt with, for anything! They picked my things up in Hixson, TN on April 22 for my cross country move to Seattle, WA. My estimated delivery date spread was April 24-May 2. My belongings sat unnoticed and untouched at their facility for 10, I repeat, TEN days before it left. It left on the 2nd. No one can tell me why that happened other than "miscommunication". The President of the company called me to apologize, offered me "compensation" and told me that my new delivery date would be May 6th. Well, today is the 6th and my things were in Missouri yesterday...2000 miles from Seattle. Won't be making it today. Plus, I have heard NOTHING from them today All during this process, I was told NOTHING. During my quote, I was told that I would be in the loop regarding everything so I could better plan my travel to Seattle. (Where my shipment was, better estimate of actual delivery date, etc). I sent countless emails to them asking for information to which they replied (seldomly) "Don't worry. Your belongings are in good hands." Tomorrow will be 2 weeks since my belongings left and I STILL don't know how much my freight weighs or how much it's going to cost me. I have been in Seattle now for a week, with nothing, sleeping on the floor with my dog. These people have terribly disappointed me and I would strongly suggest no one EVER uses them in the future. I won't drop anyone's name on here from AR but they all know who they are. I'm sure they are happily sleeping in their own beds tonight....

If you are planning a local move in the area, just call this company and they will help you move. Why deal with all the stress of getting boxes and moving it your self. They are the experts in a full service moving solution. Next time I move, I'm calling these people. They are highly recommended in making moving easier.

This has been my second move using Armstrong Relocation and both have been wonderful experiences - far from some of the moving horror stories I have read online. The first move was from CA to TN and this most recent move was from TN to MI. The prices was competitive, the movers showed up on time and were very professional, helpful and took GREAT care of my stuff (Charlie and Jamie are great!). Because my stuff was in a storage unit it was shuttled over to their main facility to be loaded onto the main truck. Chuck (driver) and Terry (helper) got our stuff up to Michigan and unloaded quickly / professionally. Donna (coordinator in the office) was fabulous to work with and was always easy to get a hold of. Highly recommend this company!!

The movers seemed friendly at first; however, our experience with them was a disaster. They dramatically underestimated the amount of belongings we needed to ship, so our things were split into two separate shipments, the first of which arrived on a Thursday and the following arrived the following Monday. We were moving a town home, so it wouldn't have taken a lot of space to move it all at once. The movers that unloaded our shipment were rude. I asked if they could haul off the empty boxes from the first shipment - which they would not do. Then they seemed completely put out when asked them to help me move the boxes outside. Are they not movers??? Since the move, we've had a hard time getting anyone to come and remove the empty boxes, which is a part of our contract. Many of our items arrived with dents and scratches - all of which I will be claiming to their insurance. Overall, I will never use Armstrong United again and I will make sure my friends, family and co-workers don't use them either.
