It is a beautiful wedding venue that is reasonably priced. Mindy is amazing and super responsive to work with. They are transparent with prices which makes budgeting and wedding planning a lot easier.

Had a great time here with friends yesterday. Such a nice course for it being a public course. This review is a special shout out for one of their employees named Matt - he was so kind and made sure to greet us and give us the low down: like bathrooms on the course - and the sheep! Thank you Matt for being so great - Merry Christmas!

Be careful when booking tee times. They allow you to book tee times late enough in the day that you have no chance of completing your round in the normal allotted time of 4 hours. There was no way we were finishing in 4 hours since the group in front of us was ultra slow and there were no rangers monitoring pace of play. After 13 holes (around 6:00) we were told to come in because of darkness. Our tee time was 2:27 and they provided no notice or voiced concern about us being able to finish by 6:10 (which is when the cart monitor told us we need to be back to the clubhouse by while we were on #11). Even if we played the 4 hour pace of play we would still have finished at 6:27 which was after the time we were told it was too dark to play (we knew it was too dark but at $100 per person we were playing as many holes as possible).

Everything about this course is awesome except for the people that go there. I went with my girlfriend who is brand new to Golf to try it out and then was trying to help her learn and then got yelled at by someone literally two people behind us. Normally I wouldn’t comment this, but they literally yelled at me 2 to 3 more times after I said OK, it was just unacceptable and extremely ghetto.
My recommendation to the owners is to ban people that act like this to people paying the same amount and trying to learn. She said at the end she doesn’t want to golf anymore.

Played a round on presidents reserve. Maintenance was immaculate for a public course just over $100 on the weekend. Pace of play was slow. Sheep on the first few holes were cool. What you shoot is what you pay for your first round of beer in the clubhouse. Love this place.

We heard so many good things about Nashville that we visited the city. While in town, we played both courses at the Hermitage Golf Club (President Reserve and the General's Retreat). The staff was accommodating (asking us if we had played there before, how to get to the 1st tee, which was a long way from the clubhouse, and tips about the course). The entire course was well maintained (we visited in August) and fun to play. We plan to make trips to Nashville every few years and will happily come back to play at Hermitage.

Overall it is a very nice course, but they have a weird rule that every player needs to have clubs. Between the rounds, beers, and food, we probably spent a couple thousand dollars as a group. You really need to ding us for some club rentals? Plus the fact that we didn't find out until hole one? Overall nice course and pleasant experience.

My wife and I played the President Reserve yesterday and thought the front nine didn't give us the wow factor. However we did enjoy the back nine. I don't think it was worth the price.

Played General's Retreat on 8-28. Course in great shape. Checked in 9:00 am for 9:30 tee time. The person checking us in never spoke. No, have you played here before? No, thank you for playing, nothing. Swiped the card handed receipt, never spoke a word . Not the service you expect in Nashville, Tn. The starter, on the other hand, was friendly and informative. You may want to put the starter in the proshop.

Played the President's Reserve course. The layout was nice, not overly challenging. The greens were in great shape with some signs that they had been recently aerated and sanded. The fairways were in great shape, as were the tee boxes. The whole course was really well maintained.
Scores out of 10
Club house 9.2
Carts 8.5
Tee boxes 8.4
Fairways 8.6
Greens 8.4
Course Layout 8.1
Pace of play 8.5
Overall: 8.53 / 10

My fiancé and I toured the wedding venue and it was beautiful! We worked with Lexie and she did an amazing job explaining all the little details and breaking down the packages and price points for us. I highly recommend Lexie and the Hermitage for anyone looking to get married!
