I bought a brand new trailer from them an just a few months after the purchase I started having brake troubles it was supposed to be under warranty but to Dewitt the warranty doesn't exsist so save yourself lots of excuses an trouble buy from someone else that will stand behind their equipment i would buy from another dealer even if the price is higher

This review is from several years ago when I tried to buy a 76" x 16' utility trailer from them. I needed the trailer for a move that was almost 2 months away. I called around to all of the trailer places for prices and expected delivery times. All of the trailer places were about two weeks out cause this trailer had to be built. This place was wanting about $100 more than the best price I found, but I had to drive about 3 hours round trip to save $100. I wanted to keep the money local for a local business. So I went in and paid half which was $800 for the trailer being at their place in two weeks with the balance due on delivery. The two weeks was verified with their trailer supplier. So I stopped in a few days before the two weeks just to see if any issues had came up cause I was needing it for a specific weekend. Well, their trailer supplier needed another week to complete the trailer. So I agreed to give them another week. Fast forward another week and the trailer supplier needed another week. I agreed for another week thinking I still had two weeks left to move if I get it a month later. Yup, one month later and no trailer. The trailer supplier told them he was busy building trailers and he didn't know when he would get to mine. Ok, well I still had two weeks to my move date and I would drive the 3 hour round trip to the other trailer place, save about $100 and get it in two weeks. I had my receipt for paying the down and asked for my money back. Owner told me he didn't give refunds on ordered trailers. I would have to wait for my trailer to be built since it had been ordered from his trailer supplier. Again, this is a month later and his trailer guy told him he didn't know when mine would be built, while I was standing right there. I asked "ordered trailer?? The guy hasn't even started building it. He just told you". We had some heated words back and forth. Owner finally says "ok, I'll give you money back, but only cause you have a receipt". I was like dude really, I have been in here 4 different times for a month and every time you knew me and why I was in there. Less than two weeks later after this I had my trailer from the other place. This place, from my own experience, they get an A+ for customer service that went wrong from their no contact, no follow up to hassling me on the refund. Since then I have bought another trailer and a golf cart, but not from them.

I have 7000$ in cash to buy an enclosed trailer an I was revered to them by someone but after reading all of the reviews I will not or never will I buy from them I am also a business owner i own a electrical business an you have to treat people right even if it cost you money I own higher power electric an I will always do what I can to make someone happy as long as it's something that is because of me or my work sorry for the bad things that happen but thanks for posting it this has saved me a lot of money an headaches.

I purchased a trailer from DeWitt April 2014. I took the trailer back to them to get some work done. (Out of Warranty) My trailer has been there for 2 months now and they still have not fixed it. I have called them repeatedly to get some kind of information on when they will decide to fix it. They ignore my calls and have sent my calls to voicemail. They will not call me back. I have to drive to the location just to talk to them and all I get is excuses. Jim has repeatedly blamed the manufacturer. I called the manufacturer (Covered Wagon) and got a completely different story. Do yourself a favor, and DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM! THIS IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE AND ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! TERRIBLE BUSINESS! I would rather drive 16 hours to purchase a trailer. AWFUL AWFUL BUSINESS! LIARS AND CHEATS

My wife and I bought a golf cart from DeWitt's 1 year ago. During the sales process we were told that the golf cart had brand new batteries which is why the golf cart was priced relatively high. After 1 year with the cart, I had some issues with the batteries and found out that the batteries were 4 years old! When I called back to get this issue fixed, my calls were avoided and I had to call from different numbers just to have someone pick up. When I would get a hold of one of them I would just hear lies and excuses. Eventually, Jim emailed me and told me he wouldn't do anything about this and that they never told me that they put new batteries in the cart (which is what they told me multiple times). They refused to pick up the phone for me and even hung up in my face once I called and they realized it was me. These people seemed very honest and friendly during the sales process but that is far from the truth! Once the sale is over, the customer service goes out the window. These people are dishonest and slimy business owners. Go somewhere else unless you want your equipment to fall apart and not have any help!

Still looking for a return call on a refund of my deposit on a trailer. I made the deposit on 12-6-14 and was told trailer would be ready on 12-8-14. This trailer was for a Christmas present which again I was assured by you it would be ready in time. It was not. I had to borrow a trailer to delivery my Christmas present. I call again on January 16th to check on my trailer. It was still not ready I asked for a quote on a larger trailer and was told I would have the quote by 19th. I never got a call. All calls about my trailer were initiated by me I never got a call from you guys. February 3rd my first call from you guys I was told my trailer was ready. I had to purchase another trailer in the mean time for transportation. I informed your wife of what was going on and asked for a refund. She said you would give me a call. That has never happened. I called today and your wife has put me on hold for 25 minutes. I would just like my deposit returned to me in fairness. It was 2 months before my trailer was ready not 2 days. I response would be nice.
