Hey you, the ones that run ORNL and Customer Service!! What's happened with the good ol' community spirit your always talking about, what's happened to the one on one conversation with an ORNL employee instead of a call center where everyone operates like a robot reading the same thing from a screen instead of being a friendly voice that use to be an ORNL employee. I've been on the phone twice this morning trying to find out if my debit card has been closed because of a text I received last night but instead of a local ORNL customer service I get a sourced out idiot who cannot help. So here I am not knowing what's going on because ORNL has became like a major banking institution instead of the ORNL of yesterday. So if anyone reads this, which I'll be surprised if someone takes the time or will this be out sourced as well, please explain to me and other members why this is happening. I've been with ORNL for over 40 years and this is really ridiculous to see what's happening. Just curious how much the big wigs are paying out to these out sourcing companies. Typical corporate greed!!! ORNL exec's did you forget about the little man from days gone by the ones that helped build ORNL or have cuddled up with the elitist of corporate greed!!

I had a 21 minute phone conversation with Michael Rupert about a loan issue. He helped me very quickly. The rest of the 15 minutes was him selling me the benefits of transferring my existing checking, savings, and very large business account over to ORNL. I’m hard to play ball with but he sold me. I am going tomorrow morning to set everything up and start a transfer process. Give this man a raise.

I have been with ORNL since 1994 I believe. I have been given them a great review but I have had with their phone service. Everytime I want to check my balance I have a problem. They always say my information doesn't match. Then I go to the branch and they say everything is right that I tell them. So how can you fix a problem they say is right. The lady imtalk to today Daniele I could not hardly understand her. I think they need someone with good English to speak on the phone. I am sorry but I didn't act like a Christian I was to upset. I tried to explain I could give her the information of my car payment being taken out every month since I brought it new. I told her because TVA was the one who financed it for me. TVA could not understand why they did not finance it. I just don't understand why it always happens on Saturday when I don't have time to go to the branch before they close. I even told her I made my car payment she could look and see I was going to tell her about my Xfinity being taken out each month but she was not interested in anything but that I didn't match up. I ask what does not match I can't tell you I said make sure you tell Clinton so they will know. It will not be fixed because I have been in several times just like they can't even get my Daddy's name off and he has been dead 7 years I have taken the death certificate in and it still there I don't mind but its just that they can't seem to fix any problems I have. I need to go to TVA I have not had a problem with them. If they trust me with my car I guess I should take my business there. I hate change and almost 30 years is a long time my parents used ORNL also But I'm ready to eat nails now I'm so upset with ORNL

I was told a block was released on my card and it wasn’t. Now I can’t pay for my groceries tonight because I have to call back during business hours. Why have a 24hr fraud prevention line when they can’t do anything.

I have been a member of ORNL Credit Union since 1975. When I was a child I started my Christmas savings club there. In my early 20s I opened a checking account there. Since then I have bought numerous vehicles using them as the lien holder. They’ve always had the best rates! Since I am a business owner, I am frequently at my local branch making deposits and have never had one glitch happen. During Covid I signed up for their online banking and it has went as smoothly as silk as well. I highly recommend this credit union, they work with you and get you the very best service and interest rates!

My husband and I use ornl and ever since I have been on his account since January of 2022 it has been nothing but a hassle. Every time you try to talk to someone on the phone you get transferred a million times and then you never get an exact answer. We don’t currently live in Knoxville anymore so we have to rely on calling a lot. My husband has a credit card through them and over a month ago it declined at a gas station. He called and said they were sending us a new one because they were updating the cards. First of all why didn't you call us to let us know that or send a letter and second it’s been over a month and we still don’t have the new credit card. We have called for several weeks trying to figure out why we haven’t gotten it yet and everyone is telling us that our address isn’t updated so that is why. Okay fine we update the addresseven though it’s been “updated” like 5 times now and we still have no card. I get things take time but it should not be this much trouble. Needless to say once we move back to Knoxville we will definitely be closing all accounts with them and going back to Knoxville Teachers Federal Credit Union.

Their online banking used to be great but it is not so user friendly anymore, especially if you have your own business. Ask any CPA, book keeper that has to access your info and they hate this credit union due to the difficulties trying to get the info they need. ORNL will not work correctly with Quickbooks. I have had multiple problems with getting the information I require to run a business and will be switching. Their customer service is horrible too, they get stuck on rules and not taking care of the customer, by the way, is also suppose to be part owner. Make it right... sometimes at the expense of, this is what I learned in customer service. A life time of continued profitable working relationship sometimes demands concessions. Learn this then you understand what needs to be done to keep those relationships alive. They have not learned this.

We live in Lenoir city and we have had a checking account with ORNL for years. What frustrates me is that I can go to branches outside of Lenoir City and present my debit card and they know who I am. I just came from the LC branch where I made a cash deposit. I presented my debit card but was told they had to see my ID in order to accept my deposit. Much as I hate to go through the hassel I think it is time for a change.

Do not bank here. They recently changed their policies without warning and will not allow you to connect any accounts to venmo, cash app, or any other similar services. They have basically locked down my money and my only access to it is through my card.

Do not ever use ornl for any type of loan.If you try to sell a car they hold the title on they turn getting a ten day payoff document into a month long process then send you the wrong stuff. And what they finally send is so unprofessional it looks like a kid with crayons wrote itIt took 12 phone calls and me telling them I refuse to make another payment to get the document. Every single person I dealt with was extremely unprofessional and several of them spoke so poorly I couldn't understand 90% of what they said and they acted offended that I couldn't understand themHorrible and unprofessional and I'm glad I've cut ties with themIf I could leave a zero star I would

Worst place ever!Got a loan through them for a car, which I'm trying to sell. They obviously don't know what a 10 day pay off is, even though I told them MULTIPLE times the info I need on it. They have sent me the wrong thing numerous times.

I had a frustrating member experience on my first attempt at paying my rent by phone today. But it's ok, I know everyone makes mistakes and needs a chance to learn. I know as a member, I can call to make internal phone transfers. I do it almost every month. I'm not going to be that member who acts unpleasant with call center representatives. So, I hung up without pressing harder. But, I still needed to get my rent paid on time.I called the Care Center again with hopes of getting a different representative. This call I received Jay. She was polite and professional. The most important part was she actually listened to what I was saying.Thank you Jay for turning my experience around without even knowing it just happened. I strongly believe in credit when credit is due. Jay provided me excellent member service tonight by assisting me with getting my rent paid.
