Was trying to get gas today. Asked the lady at the gas in go if I could do $12 in cash and $6 on my card. She said $24? I tried telling her no $18 I tried telling her $12+$6 is $18 but she would not listen to me. She took my $12 in cash and then tried charging my card $12. We told her to just forget about charging the card. So I had to go to Weigels to finish filling up on gas. I've never had this problem at any other foodcity but I will never get gas at this one again. Everyone else is so friendly but that woman at the gas in go is so rude.

Food city gas is a rip off I paid 20 dollars and half way threw it started pumping air and no gas .

Fix the receipt printer at gas pumps! In 10 years I maybe have received maybe 5 receipts from the pump and that’s filling up twice a week. I don’t have this problem at any other FC. I feel like it is pure laziness.

I went to the store today to get an onion for my dinner tonight and I was about to start cooking dinner and I was about to cook a moldy onion. I’ve been going to that food city for three years now, and never had a problem with their food until now.

Popped in to get two items... twenty minutes later...
Found my two items just fine an proceeded to the self-checkout. My second item required an ID check. I waited, edged closer to the help desk, waited, edged closer again, stared at the half dozen employees doing several tasks. I admit it all seemed work related like discussing when to take break, helping coworkers figure out how to clock in, stocking cigarettes, etc. Absolutely none of it was related to the customer standing on top of them staring them down. After a minute I finally ask one (who was off the clock) if anyone was supposed to be working the self-checkout and she called for a woman who had been there when I first approached but then walked off to customer service. After waiting for her to acknowledge and come back, when I realized that she wasn't coming, I decided to move to a cashier lane.
Got to the lane and realized the reason there was no line was that there was no cashier. Switched to the one open line then suddenly the woman who was apparently supposed to be helping me walked over and swithed the light at the empty lane off.
Finally get to a cashier and the first words she said to me were "Oh. You again." Now being a Kroger guy (better selection) I go into this Food Ciry maybe for 5 minutes every 3 or 6 months, so I had no idea what she was talking about. When I questioned her about her odd way of greeting me she just dismissed it without explanation. When I told her that her greeting was the capstone to a very unpleasant 20 minutes trying to buy two items she called out loudly as i walked away in that special, pronounced, "Have a nice day" way that we all know is customer service-speak for saying "I'd get fired if I said what I wanted to say."
Overall horrible experience delivered by multiple employees.

Love their pick and mix 5 for$20.00 on the meats. Now they also have a deal where you do the same with vegetables for $7.00!!!

I've always enjoyed going to Food City, but I won't go back to the one in Clinton. Everything was WAY too high, and the produce selection was awful!

Two really good things about the store, they have some younger cashiers and baggers on Saturday and Sunday morning who are really friendly and great at their jobs. The guys back in the meat deaprtment are very good and friendly as well. If you shop late on the weekends you'll probably have to ring up your own groceries. The product selection is mediocre. Be sure to check the expiration date on dairy items before you purchase. There are other negatives not mentioned. Oak Ridge needs a really good grocery store .
