This place was a disaster there was only one employee actually doing all of the work and being kind to customers let me explain..
So today on April 15 2024 Thursday, there was one employee doing all th work the other one and the manager was in the inventory room doing only God knows what,me and my mother get up to the cash register and then we are about to get done and then the manager comes running out and yelling at the cashier who was doing nothing but her job and being polite, turns out a woman stole a buggy full of stuff worth $300 and the manager was blaming the only person who had been doing her job. This is very unprofessional and I will never be going back to this dollar general ever again but if that cashier gets fired it will be messed up and honestly the ones who should be fired is the manager and other worker.

The self checkout was out of order needed money put in.
She took her time.
I'm not sure why but I never have a good experience at DG

I go in this store daily, today was the worst it's been. When I first got there the girl at the register was so high she couldn't ring up the lady. I didn't see another employee in the store until she screamed across the store for her. By the time I checked out they were both outside smoking and only the self checkout was open. The store had 4 people in line behind me and probably 6 or 7 families still shopping yet they were outside smoking. I hope this isn't going to be an ongoing thing.

They are very busy most all the time, they need more help, I had been charged for the same item more than twice on several occasions then when I call they say the manager is gone. The reason I gave the low rating is so you can start paying attention to how many customers are in the store and how many people you need as checkers. You need to pay your employees more so they will stick around or you may not be able to run a store in the future. You need to start checking freezer temperatures on a regular basis. The lady that waited on me had to work a double shift, that was not fair to her or the other employees. Times are not like they were five years ago, we have access to Google reviews to reflect our opinions on service and quality of goods received or rendered. On the 22nd of April on a Friday they had to actually close the store due to lack of help, times are not like they were even two years ago, If you plan on keeping help your going to have to pay competitvely and keep your shelves stocked better in my opinion, and this is all my opinion. I could be wrong but based on the store closing on one of the busiest times of the week this should set off red flags to evaluate you business policy.

Its a Dollar General, not a great one as it could do with some organizing, but that goes for about 98% of them - but overall I like DG so I gave it a 4

Even though they just went through a remodel before Christmas the store is chaotic again. It does look like maybe new management because when I've went in the last couple of times they're aren't as many carts of freight all over the place.
