“NBIC has been a blessing to so many small / minority owned businesses in Nashville. Serving on the Junior Board I have seen the direct impact this organization has had in the community. Angela Crane-Jones has been a great leader and I 10/10 recommend!”
“Great place for entrepreneurs to utilize free resources to help get a new business start up and maintain growth. The people that work there were all very welcoming and willing to be helpful and encouraging”

900 Glendale Ln, Nashville“As an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church, it was important for my family and me to find an open an affirming congregation when I began family leave in the summer of 2021.When we first arrived at Glendale UMC, we knew this place was a wonderful fit for us. Glendale welcomes and affirms all of our LGBTQ+ siblings but doesn't stop there! They also make sure that neurodiverse folks are welcomed and loved and try to make sure the church is accessible as it can be.Since being on family leave, I've been working full-time as a volunteer chaplain to the tabletop gaming community and, honestly, I have never seen a United Methodist Church so supporting and affirming of this ministry.I have also found Glendale to be a community of faith that is quite diverse. The age range of this congregation is also amazing. There are a number of young families as well as older folks worshipping together each week which is a wonderful expression of the Body of Christ. The Geekpreacher”
“If you are new to the area and looking for a lodge, there are several beautiful lodges with incredible men and Masons… my experience at this lodge for meetings, education, dinners and events public and private, for me, has been unexplainably different than other lodges… it’s hard to not feel welcome, it’s hard not to stumble over some new (or ancient) truth, it’s impossible not to see the brotherhood and feel that this group truly wants to help each other and the community grow.”

161 Rains Ave, Nashville“I began volunteering to be a guest reader several years ago with Book'em during Read Me Day. As I learned more about Book'em I wanted to do more. This organization provides free books to public school children who likely do not have books of their own at home. They are passionate about their mission and give away thousands of books a year to children from kindergarten to high school seniors.
Now I volunteer regularly at a local school to read to one class of children throughout the school year. It's so rewarding, the children get so excited when they see me come into the room. They are engaged when I read and always participate in discussions afterwards. Of course they are excited to pick out a book of their own to take home.
Now Book'em has a bus that will be able to go to where children are in their neighborhoods and pass out books. It's brightly painted, kid friendly and packed with books.
I so love this organization that I asked to serve on the board and be a part of planting the seed to make life long readers.
Book'em is always among a select group of non-profits that I support financially every year.”
“We passed through envious of the coffee bar. The building is fantastic with lots of excellent artists that have come through. Next-door is a skateboard park. “Best authentic music experience in Nashville. It's off the beat path and populated by hipster locals, a real scene to see and be seen - an inside secret. The vintage market and vendors were super cool too. The music and dancing on a Tuesday night... shhh it's awesome.”

“The Nashville Food Project prepares meals for distribution by other non-profit organizations to those in need, which includes poor elderly, school children, and victims of natural disasters. The staff are top notch, and their kitchen is a shining example of what a commercial kitchen should be. They receive donations from various businesses like Whole Foods, as well as local farmers.I provide a knife sharpening service to the NFP at no charge, as my contribution to their efforts.”
“The company I worked for volunteered for One Generation Away. They were very organized and loaded alot of cars! No questions asked and prayers given when requested. I was impressed with the amount of fresh vegetables given away.”

430 B, East Iris Drive, Nashville“I’ve been involved with the Heimerdinger Foundation for a while. It’s hard to find authenticity these days with any organization, but the HF seems to be an exception. From their board members to their executive director to the kitchen staff to the volunteers, this is an organization that checks so many of the right boxes. I’m only involved with the kitchen crew (and we have fun in the kitchen!), but I’m honored to be associated with this organization that helps so many cancer patients and family members and to accompany them in the smallest of ways in their struggle to return to normalcy and recovery.”

THEY STAFF DESERVES A TIP WHEN PEOPLE WANT TO DO IT. BLESS THEM!”
“We have only gone once, but going here was a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is very relaxed, which compels people to be open and share their own personal experiences.Mikey was a great speaker, had a calming voice and was very eloquent in his explanations of the teachings, all while intertwining them with the modern day.We will definitely be back, and will probably become regulars. Grateful that we have a space like this so close to home.”
