I’ve used this bank the last 10 years, and the past 2 years alone have made it absolutely not worth it. Never mind the fact there is only two branches, one in Morristown and one in Newport, so if you are ever elsewhere, you are out of luck. I am familiar with the Newport branch, which is what this review is for. The branch in Newport switched in the past two years to a “live teller” service at their drive-thru where instead of talking to a teller in the office, you are talking with someone else located somewhere else. There is ALWAYS issues with this system, and every time I have to stop by, I have to run inside and wait in a long line instead because the drive-thru system does not work and the tellers “are offline”. It is a worse hassle for customers to manage this system versus the old method using the in-person tellers.I have CONSTANT issues with my card. Every time I go shopping, even if it’s at the same stores in the same town, my card will freeze and I have to call to remove the hold on it. I am now having holds for several days placed on my paychecks every two weeks, when I’ve never had this happen before. I recently deposited a check and was told that there would be a TWO WEEK HOLD to clear the check, which is absolutely ridiculous as I’ve deposited larger checks before with no holds before. I could understand if it had to take a day or two, but two weeks is absolutely not okay. When I asked the representative to tell me about the policy that required the two week hold, she was not able to give me a direct answer as to why it was that long, and just simply stated “it’s just how it is”.I have no opinions on their loan program as I do not have a loan with them, but if you are considering banking with them, save yourself the time and hassle and bank elsewhere.

I have been a customer of LCU for years and it seems the longer you are with them the least respect you get. My account has been hacked 4 times in the past 6 months or so and I go into the bank yesterday to get a new debit card and I am told you are only allowed 3 new cards in a years time and this would be number 4 so they were not allowed to make me a new card. Told me to come back in 6 months and they MAY review my acct for me and it may be possible for them to make me a card if everything looks OK. I ask how I am suppose to get my money and she said you will have to come in the bank and withdraw how much you need. Take in mind they are closed on weekends. I ask how will I know how much I need to go to the grocery store? Idk was my answer. I pay my bills thru my debit card on auto pay and I get a text this morning my phone has been disconnected due to non payment. Use to at the old location I could go in and know everyone working, now I know no one. If I don't get some results, why should I keep LCU as my bank?

Just didn't like them they wouldn't let me have checking account but would savings but you have to keep 100 dollars in it at all times or they charge you penalty not cool

Deposit a check and still ain’t been able to use it because had no clue that it wasn’t open Friday or closed early. Only bank that I know of that closed early
