Very helpful and friendly staff, especially Hunter, Thomas, and Tanner! Last time I was there they rescued me when I untied the boat before starting the engine and then couldn't get it going... They were sweet and polite about having to get me from the middle of the lake...Haha... love the work the new owners (Derrick and Jen) are doing to make updates to the store, rentals, and marina. Can't wait to go back to rent a pontoon this summer!

*Beware under new ownership as of August 2022* Have been renting a pontoon every year for many years from Maynard, no problem. Called Derrick (new owner) to find out rain cancellation policy and he gave us the wrong information because he thought my reservation was the next day. Blamed me for his misunderstanding and refused to make it right causing a forfeiture of my deposit. Guess he needed the $100 more than I did. Poor business decision IMO.

I went to Straight Creek Marina to view Norris Lake & check out the pontoon rentals. As of August 2022. The employee said its $200 for 8 hours. Or overnight rental to return by 8:00 am is $250. Also, there is no restaurant here. But it is a nice place to dock your boat.

I loved it.i had a great time.the owners were so nice and sweet and very helpful.the boat we rented from them was very clean and very confortable.had a much needed relaxing time.i will go back there again. Thank you

I wouldnt recomend buying minnows last time almost all of them were dead and this time they was way to small but other than that, great staff and very friendly people. Love this place
