We stayed at an AirBNB in the Gulch and this was walking distance. Brunch was absolutely delicious. The music each day we walked by was just a single singer that was jaw droppingly good! Eat there and sit out on the patio with the singer!
Walkability: Great location for lots of nearby murals, a little over a mile to downtown.
Food and drinks: Brunch was phenomenal!!!
Noteworthy details: 3 murals very close by to check out! Lots of cute shops about 1 block away in the gulch.

The hotel is average. There is nothing terrible about it, though the bathroom is very small and the water pressure isn’t great; but there is also nothing impressive about it. The reviews and advertising present it as a 5 star hotel. I’m my opinion, it’s a 3 star hotel. They say they offer yoga on the lawn, but it’s one time, on one night, and it’s not yoga, it’s Pilates. They say have a coffee bar but the offerings are very limited. They say they offer room service but there are a very small handful of options and the food is less than great; they say they have James Beard restaurants but that must’ve been moons ago bc the food isn’t James Beard quality. Management will listen to concerns but only halfway and certainly don’t go out of their way to fix anything. The hotel is not cheap. If you can, I’d suggest the JW Marriott, Joseph, or Hilton tempo over this hotel. I’m here for 2 weeks and while I don’t feel like moving all my stuff immediately, I’m relocating for week 2.

Very nice property with nice rooms, a swanky vibe, high end finishes, comfy pillows (never underestimate the importance of a good noggin cushion), a decent fitness area, nice pool, and helpful staff.
The “destination fee” is a blatant cash grab and supports the D’s push against “junk fees”. Even though the destination fee can be used as a food and beverage credit, that was NOT applied to my invoice at checkout and I had to ask for the credit to be applied. Seems a bit shady.
Also there is no executive lounge at this property. But plenty of nice restaurants nearby, and far enough from Broadway to be relatively peaceful, but close enough that a 20 min walk puts you right in the heart of the action.
Overall a very nice place, but the destination greed-fee makes me think twice about visiting this property again.
Safety: I wouldn’t want my teenage daughters walking around this area late night alone due to a lot of sidewalk sleepers…but no serious concerns.
Noteworthy details: No executive lounge. Questionable “destination” fee (make sure you ask for the F&B credit or you might not even get that “benefit”.

Beautiful property, amazing brunch at The Restaurant. We changed our plans to enjoy the brunch each morning! The bourbon French toast is a winner! Delicious options overall!!
I would like to highlight the one of a kind service, displayed by Nareen, she is such a delight and anticipated my needs without me asking! Nareen truly delivered an exceptional experience from the moment we arrived! Her warm welcome instantly made us feel at home, setting the perfect tone for our stay. Her thoughtful recommendations and insight into the hotel’s offerings were incredibly helpful, ensuring we made the most of every moment. Whether it was guiding us through the amenities or suggesting personalized activities, she was attentive and truly cared about our experience. Nareen’s genuine hospitality and attention to detail made our stay unforgettable. She was a true delight, and her exceptional service added so much to our trip!
Walkability: There are a few options for things in walking distance. Broadway is a 20 min walk. There’s a liquor store with many options directly across from hotel.

Location was fantastic! Room was beautiful!
Issues I had:
Being over charged with a 3rd person fee, was told I would get a call and never did had to follow up
Wheelchair lift to the pool - I requested it to be fixed as my son is wheelchair bound, 1st day was told they will fix and call me
No call. Went down and told them the only reason we booked this hotel was because we were told they had a lift in working condition and if it’s not fixed I want a manager to call me.
2 hours later I got a call advising it was fixed.
We went and used it but it’s still not 100% and I don’t think it’s fully safe yet.

Watch your personal/valuables. They come up missing. Yet nobody knows anything. Unwilling to cooperate or assist in recovering sentimental/ Priceless items. You should feel safe in a hotel, especially of this caliber. The thought of someone to get in to our room without a key or being detected, let alone the into safe is simply disturbing. Unfortunately this has turned into a police investigation. We just want our sentimental items back. Hotel is being uncooperative. Please be very ware

While swimming at the pool and getting drinks from the bar we were served well margaritas, the bartender gave us a margarita that costed 24 to 25 dollars each. I asked if this was the well and he said yes. The tequila we were told that was well was casamigos…. Which after asking a manager was incorrect their margaritas should cost the same as their cocktails which is 15 , if they were charging us with the actual well tequila.
I have been in the bartending industry for 10 years and I know how some bartenders move when it comes to charging higher liquor for a bigger total check, for a higher tip. It’s really the principle of the whole thing. It just doesn’t sit right with me and makes me weary of coming back and not triple checking what I’m being served.

I enjoyed my stay at the W when I was in Nashville! The room is spacious and clean, and the rooftop bar offers beautiful views, great food, and drinks.

Amazing hotel. I was very impressed with the rooms as they were unique and very functional. Could have been a little closer to Broadway but shirt enough Uber ride.

I am pretty disappointed. Upon arrival they failed to mention the resort fee, I had to be the one to come back and ask. We were excited about the pool but the menu is limited and had horrible food options. For a 5 star hotel I expected better food, more flexibility about bringing the restaurant food by the pool, and generally more luxury.
The room was nice and clean though.

Want to be told your room is ready for check in while flying in and then show up at 130am to check in and be told your reservation has been canceled with no prior communication at all? Then stay here! Absolute trash.

If you plan on valeting your vehicle at this establishment I would highly advise against it. During my stay my vehicle was damaged on the hotel property by the valet team. The valet manager on site Jared assured me that my vehicle would be repaired. This occured on July 5th, 2024, and I have not been made whole. W Nashville outsources valet to the 'parkingmgmt' company(PMC) and they will avoid communication and no one ever picks up the phone. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CAR AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT. YOU WILL REGRET IT.
