Maybe the two most unhelpful and unkind government workers I’ve ever encountered. If you thought the energy at the DMV was bad…don’t come to the Melrose Post Office

A worker named Ozelia was extremely rude to me, to be honest it’s just pathetic and sad. I wanted to ship two small parcels today and had accidentally gotten priority envelopes and didn’t know that the provided shipping labels I had were ground advantage. When I had her scan the QR code on my phone she held it up and silently looked at me. This was extremely disgusting behavior. She didn’t say anything and kept looking at me withholding the shipping label and I had asked if I could put it on my parcel. In an extremely condescending way as if she wanted to make make me feel stupid so that she could feel better about herself had told me it was the wrong package. This is honestly a small and simple mistake. I had asked if I could cancel the shipping label so I could go home and find a new envelope/box for the mail I was sending out. Also I had the option to print the label from home. She said no that she could hold the label for me and I could come back later and also told me I’m not allowed to leave with the shipping label despite me being able to print it out at home. I had decided to purchase envelopes at this location instead since I was already there and she had already folded my shipping label, making it unusable since the sides had stuck to each other. She lied to me, because you can cancel the order and she was able to re-print it and put it on my new envelope. To Ozelia who works here. I’m sorry that you feel so bad about yourself that you have to take it out on customers who want to go about there day. I’m not religious but I hope and pray that you find peace and become a better person. I feel sorry for you.

Went to this post office at 8:40am on Friday, July 12th. The lady working the first window was quite condescending and not helpful even after being greeted with an upbeat “good morning.” She said, “Oh I didn’t realize I called you.” In hindsight I guess I was supposed to wait for her to call me, but nobody was in front of me so I walked up to the first open window. I was simply looking to buy some flag stamps which they also did not have.

I had an important package coming thru USPS and instead of the pea brain mail guy leaving the package right by my door ?, this idiot leaves it on the breeze way! Lucky I just so happen to be home and I heard him out there. He's a little African American guy. I'm black as well so it's not a race thing.Someone could've stolen my package by just walking by and picking it up. Please get rid of this incompetent idiot. He delivers in the Edgehill area. Common sense would tell you to leave someone package right by there door. Low IQ idiot!

This is one of the smaller USPS locations in Nashville. This Christmas I was running behind on shopping and one Saturday I rushed to get a Card to my loved ones before it closed. Upon arrival I realized the holiday rush had already hit. I was in a hurry, and had an Uber waiting on me, so I tried the self-service kiosk, but it was out of order. I started to walk for the door, thinking I'd just have to do it the following Monday morning. Before leaving, I heard a voice behind me. "Is it not working?" And there was a sweet woman there with a stack of Christmas cards ready to mail out.I explained it wasn't, and with the line being so long I'd have to come back as I forgot my stamps at home. The woman kindly offered me the last of her four stamps so I could mail out the card, and it arrived before Christmas! I am so excited that there are genuinely sweet people like this out there in the world, and that I meet them at the US Post Office.

Not sure why this place only has 2.5 stars, easiest USPS I've ever been to in the Nashville area and the staff was super friendly. Y'all rock!

Used this location multiple times to apply for a visa and mail very important documents. Annie has always been incredibly patient with me, helping me navigate a super complex process. Always happy to see her!

I highly recommend just using the Self Service Kiosk if you want the best experience here. Wish they had more than one.

A negative star rating would be more appropriate for this post office. My grand-daughter has lived at the same address for years at Villa Adrian but cards and small packages always go 'missing'. In other words never delivered.

Seems like there would be more than one teller for the holiday season. Also, the kiosk is frequently out of order. Please have appropriate staff levels!!! If you’re having problems hiring, perhaps you need to look in the mirror..

Zavonte helped me tremendously with 2 of my packages to "ensure" they are protected. He was generous with his time, and helpede with my packages all with a smile. I appreciate him and his genuine manners and helpfulness!
