Communication was very poor. I paid extra to have my pod delivered by a specific date, but they couldn’t pick it up on time, so I had to wait an extra day, completely defeating the purpose. I feel scammed out of $240. When I received the beat-up pod, I regret not realizing that the damage meant my belongings would be tossed around.
Where do I even start? Upon opening the pod, I was immediately devastated. Bungee cords were snapped, and the ratchet straps jammed under heavy tension, refusing to release due to the extreme force applied. Glass, plastic, wood, and screws littered the floor. Upon further inspection, I found all four of my aquariums—double-wrapped in moving blankets, shrink-wrapped, ratchet-strapped, and carefully placed—shattered to pieces. These aquariums are not only expensive but also difficult to replace. In the meantime, my fish had to live in a cooler for an extended period. Plastic totes filled with light items, wrapped in packing paper, somehow exploded at the seams. Heavy-duty cardboard boxes were blown out at the sides. Wooden nightstands, still shrink-wrapped, had their drawers busted and dropped to the bottom, likely due to excessive downward force. While many more personal items were damaged, these were the ones that hurt me the most financially.
Sales representatives need to educate customers on the importance of getting insurance for items handled by U-Pack and emphasize that belongings should be packed to survive a car crash—because they won’t make it otherwise. After speaking with the 'cargo claims analyst' and being told my items were damaged due to poor packing, I was baffled. As someone with experience as a mover, I know how to pack and that some damage is inevitable. I wasn’t expecting perfection, but having the majority of my cargo damaged is unacceptable.
The final insult was being told that ABF's liability is limited to $0.10 per pound. Even if I fought this issue, I’d only get around $70. What a joke—bananas cost more per pound! Essentially, they’re saying people's belongings are worth less than fruit. I wouldn’t recommend anyone use U-Pack unless they’re desperate. You must get insurance to protect yourself, or you’ll end up like me: out $2,600 for the move and another $2,000 in damages.

Very impressed with Upack from pick up, storage, delivery on recent coast to coast move. Extremely efficient process and great customer service throughout. Everyone I spoke to was helpful, personable and professional. Service is a great value.

Upon reading reviews, I decided to go with U Pack over PODS. Some positives: I will say that the customer service prior to booking, as well as loading, and the whole move across country was phenomenal! Additionally, price was super fair in comparison to some other companies. However, a couple negatives: Upon receiving the truck at my original location to load, it was extremely filthy. I had to take a large push broom to the floor a few times to even get it semi clean. Additionally, upon arriving at the service center in Nashville to pick up, the customer service was poor. While the communication about the truck with my stuff was great (as in letting me know promptly it had arrived), the in person experience was poor. Upon arriving for a scheduled appointment at 10am, the person at the window didn’t gave any type of warm greeting. I explained I was here for pick up, he took my information and sent me over to a nearby parking lot and said the driver will drop off in “a couple of minutes”. 30 lines go by and I give them a call to assure I was in the correct location, and their response was “oh he didn’t show up yet?” they call whoever was supposed to bring the truck over, and stated to me just a few more minutes. Another 15 minutes go by, I call again and end up getting out of the car to go into the office again and the person at the window looked at me as if I were an inconvenience. I explained that at this point I’ve been waiting over an hour, even though I’ve been told twice it’ll only be a couple more minutes. He called the driver again and said “10 minutes”, and gave an insincere apology for the delay. Another 20 minutes goes by and I went in again to inquire and the driver didn’t show up for another 10 minutes past the second time I went into the office and the only explanation was “we’re short and looking for drivers.” We got out of the car when the driver arrived to thank him, and he didn’t say one word to us. He just dropped the truck off and drove away. While I can entirely understand and give a lot of grace for being short staffed, they could’ve pushed my scheduled appointment back so I didn’t waste over an hour waiting in a random parking lot, or at the very least had communicated better. Extremely unprofessional pick up experience.

I moved from Canada to US and upack made my move very smooth. From day1, we were given a schedule and they stuck to the schedule. It was amazing experience, with timely updates. Whenever I reached out to helpdesk they were very polite and helpful. I would always recommend them to anyone planning to move. Just one suggestion to them, for cross border move, if they could provide more details about requirements like trailer can’t cross the border until I94 is submitted.

I moved across the country about 16 years ago with ABF and there was not a single glitch, that is before it was called Upack. My recent move had a couple of glitches that they quickly addressed and even offered me compensation. My big concern was that on the day the trailer was supposed to arrive, it still had not left the source. The only explanation I got was that somebody dropped the ball. The website reported where the truck was but did not update the expected arrival, which had passed. Overall, it's the best and most economical way to move a household for those who want to hire their own labor or load themselves.

Using U-Pack was the best decision. I spent a few days looking at all my options, calling people and getting quotes. I went with U-pack because they were the most affordable option I could find and the reviews were good.I got the smallest pod available and it was delivered on time with no issues. I packed it up over the span of 2 days, then requested it be picked up. Again, no issue there, they picked it up next day.I drove myself to my new home while all my stuff was in the pod. It arrived at my new home about a week after I did (which was as promised). No delays, nothing! I was surprised how easy it was.I unloaded my stuff then requested it be picked up again for the last time. I didn’t have to be present for that, and the truck came and got it.I’m so thankful I made that decision because let me just say - my move was seamless thanks to them!Would definitely use U-pack again.

We had a great experience with you pack. Customer service was great so was the price the only thing we were surprised about was the size of the cube. We were told you can fit a small one bedroom apartment in it but that was not the case, we had to throw out quite few things and give a way kitchen table, futon and some other things to made it work.We did call and talked about the size and they were great at sending another cube which we would only use part of it, but the price would have gone up around 700.00 dollars and we could not afford that. So over all we were very happy with the accomodations, original prize and customer service just not the size.

It is easy, if you call, to get a better quote. Friendly, fast, updates to your phone, the website is user-friendly and pretty straightforward:)

I used upack in 2021 and had a great experience with the relo-cube and customer service. My experience this year, however, was not great. They were unable to provide a relo-cube for my move, and I was delivered a 15 ft trailer instead. No one from upack could help me get a permit to park the trailer in front of my house, which was difficult to figure out. I was also expected to assemble the large heavy ramp to the trailer and the barriers inside the truck. This is basically impossible for a single person with average strength. The truck was also filthy when it arrived. Although I swept it out the best I could, my furniture and boxes were disgusting when they arrived. I wish the information about the trailer had been explained to me verbally before the move, and I wish it had been clean. Customer service was good overall, but I do not recommend using upack if they offer you a semi trailer, especially as a single person. The relo-cube was much easier.

Amazing first experience with U-Pack! All drivers were great. My ReloCube was delivered to my destination on time and all my belongings were in perfect condition. I liked that I was able to track the cube through the website. Reasonable prices and great customer service. Would definitely use their services again if I need to move over a long distance again.

Quick, efficient, and so easy to set up. Not to mention it being so much cheaper than similar options. I definitely recommend anyone moving soon should use U-Pack.
