Zero Stars - My daughter booked her wedding here - we paid the deposit, mailed the invites and announcements and THEY CANCELLED THE EVENT ON HER with no notice and NO EXPLANATION 3 months before her wedding date!Updated to 3 stars: once I reached the owners, they refunded our deposit quickly and offered a better apology than we got originally.

Do not give these awful people your business. My wife and I were going to have our wedding there on 11/11/21 and received a cryptic email from them on 4/11 stating that "the Timothy Demonbreun House will have to cancel your event on 11/11/21 due to unforeseen circumstances". One week before our wedding they cancelled, and even after multiple calls and emails (which were returned since they apparently cancelled their email), we still don't have an answer as to why.

I had an excellent experience watching my best friend get married to the love of his life. Staff was amazing and very polite. The venue was beautiful and would recommend to anyone that is going to get married in the future.

Beautiful home with southern charm! We enjoyed drinking coffee on the front porch in the morning. Richard will make you a delicious breakfast made to order. The customer service was excellent. We enjoyed a much needed long weekend here.

Debbie, Amy and I loved our visit. Richard is the best host ever andamazing chef. The chickens lay fresh eggs every morning. The Demonbreun House is a warm comfortable environment and 1.5 miles from all the music and a short drive to Radnor state park which offers a beautiful environment for a walk around the lake. We highly recommend staying here. You will love it!

The new owner of this venue, Hannah is awesome. The house has been cleaned up and updated since the previous owner. Very clean and nice atmosphere overall, it is nice to have a venue owner be a friendly and congenial person. Her food looked delicious! I recommend this lovely mansion!

Overpriced, dirty, and Richard the owner is a well-known scam artist in Nashville - just google Richard Demonbruen.

I don't even know where to start. The owner Richard was smoking weed during the reception and offered my 16 year old nephew marijuana. He yelled at my ten year old nephew bc he ran in the house. Multiple people heard him call the young boy a spoiled brat. The owner refused to allow us to open the doors for air as it was sweltering hot in the Fleur de Lis room. There was an open bar but when one guest a current army soldier on leave was drunk, the owner called the cops on him and then kicked the entire wedding party and guest out of the house. The wedding was ruined by the owner of this establishment. The chicken served was very pink and uneatable. The potatoes and vegetables served were bland and unseasoned. The owner told a young guest to "get the f*** out of the kitchen". He yelled at the photographer for putting the wedding dress on the back of the door for a photo. This man completely and single handedly ruined this wedding. Also if you decide to have an event here.... DO NOT TOUCH anything, esp the doors bc its highly frowned upon by Richard. Epic a*******

If I had to sum up this place in short; Overpriced, dirty, neighbors had bars on the windows, very small & cold room, zero attention to details and lots of talk of how he'll be our personal concierge. We do not expect special treatment, just a fair product or service as paid for & advertised. We've stayed in B&Bs for years and I've never written a bad review until now.
Upon arrival Richard said "Never use the front or side door . . . a guest left & forgot to lock the door and we found a homeless man inside." The entrance guests use, was the converted garage, complete with gas fireplace, filthy windows and a TV that to change the channel, you had to go up the stairs to the kitchen & change the channel on that TV. We arrived at the stated time and he immediately took us up to the room which he said "No one has been here for a week, so I need to vacuum it". The hair ball in the bathtub was an instant turnoff. He advertises "Claw foot shower/leg tub", what he doesn't say is the finish has worn off & repaired with spray paint and the wallpaper is peeling on every wall.
Warning! Do not turn on the fan in this room, the dirt caked on the blades and the doorways is what you'd expect in an Out of Order bathroom at a single pump truck stop. The only heat in the room was an electric radiator type, not what you'd expect for $300 a night.
We have returned repeatedly to most every B&B we've stayed, even the inexperienced Innkeepers were gracious and had very clean homes. By any stretch this place could never be called clean.
As luck would have it, we had a real emergency that demanded we return home, Richard was kind enough to charge a $50 penalty for leaving by noon. Then when I sent an email suggesting it might have been an honest error, he asked that I call him, when I did he called me a creep and hung up. So much for honest graciousness.

We had our wedding there a few weeks ago. Richard was amazing! Our out of town family stayed at the B&B for the weekend. Everything was clean, the food was amazing, and we couldn’t be happier with the way things turned out. Richard goes above and beyond for his guests!

Amazing stay! Wish I could give 6 stars. Richard is amazing and so friendly. He goes above and beyond. Also quite the chef. Breakfast is served with fresh eggs from the chickens in the back of the house. Absolutely will visit again!

We spent 5 nights at the Timothy Demonbreun House for our honeymoon and would have stayed 7 if the other nights weren't already booked by other guests.
Richard, the host, manager, and owner is the great grandchild of the namesake and famed Timothy Demonbreun, whom even a main road in Nashville is named after.
Richard was great and took phenomenal care of us. He takes this B&B to heart. It's like his baby. He makes fresh to order breakfasts and goes so far as raising the chickens there that provide the eggs.
We will definitely stay there again when we return again to Nashville. We reside in Texas.
