Loved my stay at the Russell. This hotel is beautiful and the design is perfection. The complimentary local snacks and water were very appreciated after a long business day where I didn’t have time to grab snacks. The bed was very comfortable. There were plenty of breakfast choices minutes away. The neighborhood felt safe and quiet. Parking was easy. Overall, a wonderful experience and I would stay again next time I’m in Nashville.

Loved staying at the Russell. We are a family with 2 kids and found the rooms big enough, bathrooms well fitted out and spacious (unlike many hotels!) - location is close enough to the heart without being in the thick of it all. Parks and great local restaurants nearby. It was good to be able to tap in and out of the Broadway scene especially at night the local places to eat and drink were great. The kids especially loved the windows at the Russell!

Incredible experience! Highly recommend! Not even sure where to start. You check-in and out all via text and/or e-mail. It's not just robo-system though, there is a real helpful person there at the other end.
It's a relaxing beautiful space, my room had everything I could possibly need, from extremely delicious snacks to a nice comfortable robe. I will be back!

Absolutely LOVED our stay here! Considering how affordable the Russell was I was not expecting the amazing amenities this truly unique hotel had to offer! Our room (2:6) was spotless, comfortable, and absolutely gorgeous! The beds are fantastic, the sheets were the softest I have ever felt, and the Dyson blow dryer was just the cherry on top of the birthday cake ? Loved the adorable neighborhood, it was so quiet and provided a restful night's sleep after a full day on the town. And we loved the little snack box of goodies that was completely free with the room! The lobby is absolutely stunning with its captivating stained glass windows from 1902 and we were so happy that we could store our luggage there after our checkout time. I personally am a lover of historic buildings and am a church history nerd, so getting to stay in a historic church building that pays homage to its roots while providing every modern luxury was a very special experience. Also loved the sense of humor of the hairdryer stored in offering bags and the headboards made of upcycled church pews. But I loved most of all that this building continues to bless the community by donating profits to the homeless in Nashville. At the end of my stay I got an email detailing exactly how many meals/showers/beds my stay would provide to those in need and it was so refreshing to see my money going back to the community that I just had so much fun exploring. 10/10 establishment, I will definitely be staying here again!

I was only passing through Nash for a night, but this hotel was absolutely perfect for me. It was so charming and cute. The bed was so comfy and the shower and bathroom touches were super nice. I almost wish my trip was longer so I could have stayed longer, I will be back!

One of my favorite hotels I've ever stayed in. So beautiful, great staff support, fabulous location, very reasonable price point. Can't wait to return.
Rooms: Super comfy, mini splits for climate control, super hotel shower water.
Walkability: Easy to scooter to and from Ryman and anywhere else on Broadway

I absolutely loved our experience at the Russell! The historical building is so cool and interesting, and the decor/vibe of the lobby and rooms are so beautiful and creative! For example, I loved the luggage lift, the gorgous stained glass windows, the artwork and murals, the rich colors chosen for interior design that came from the stained glass, the cute signage, the church pew headboard and other "church" themed decor such as bathroom mirrors shaped like the arches of the windows. The bed was so cozy and comfortable, I loved the complimentary snacks and the steamer for getting the wrinkles out of my clothes, and the large bathroom stocked with shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, and hand soap that smelled really good. And of course the fact that they give a portion of their profits to help homeless chatities is also so great!! I really hope to return someday and certainly will if I am in the area! You should stay here!
Rooms: Beautifully decorated, cozy and comfy bedding, super clean, complimentary snacks and coffee, hairdryer and steamer.
Nearby activities: Lots of restaurants nearby, but we only had time to try the East Park Donuts and Coffee shop and we loved both the donuts and latte's we hAD (5 Stars!)
Noteworthy details: Beautiful interior design elements in a historic church! Did not mind the contactless check in at all- made it really fast and easy.

This was my 2nd overnight trip to Nashville and I always stay at The Russell. The booking process is efficient and nearly effortless. Instructions are clear (texts and emails). Amenities provided are top notch (Dyson fan and hair dryer, cushy robes, sound machine, amazing mattress). Added bonus: unique place! Not just your average boring hotel room. The water and snacks are included and not extra… you know, it’s the little things. The location isn’t crazy busy, but at the same time, very accessible and walkable to some things. There’s Lyft and Uber drivers all over the place, but plenty of locals walking around. Overall wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else given the charity they provide through this hotel. Thanks Russell peeps!

Love the Russell! I was a little unsure about booking an interior room but it was perfect! The communication with the staff was quick, easy & efficient. Check-in was seamless, easy. The space is beautiful. The rooms are well appointed. There are delightful surprises throughout, from the snacks, coffee bar, Photo Booth, filtered water/ice and even a sparkling filtered water tap!
Noteworthy details: Clean, comfortable, easy in and out, convenient & love they give back to community. Looking forward to my next visit!

We chose The Russell from a list of boutique hotels in East Nashville, having never visited there. My husband and I loved the location - a fun neighborhood with lots of good restaurants and activities in easy walking distance - and easy access to downtown Nashville etc. by Uber. We flew into BNA and did not rent a car, which made everything easy for us. We loved the vibe and decor of The Russell, and had a great room with a nice, large bathroom. Little touches like the goodie basket and easy USB chargers were very nice too. We also used the lockers for luggage when we arrived before check-in, and the guidebook - both were super helpful!
