I have to say that it was an absolutely amazing experience. I am new to leathercraft and I spent over 2 hours asking the two gentlemen in there every question under the sun. I had done a lot of research online before I made the trip up(hour and a half) and I had made a few small leather items from scraps. So I walked in trying to make the most educated and intelligent questions possible and the two gentlemen were super patient and understanding and walked me through different processes and products and types of leather and really helped to educate me on a lot of the questions that a beginner would have.. I will definitely be coming back and visiting this location. And if the two gentlemen that helped me today see this I just want to say again thank you so much for all y'all's help and patience.

Joe at Tandy leather is by far the most talented professional I've met in the leather works community. I came into the store to alter a belt, and with his guidance it looks better than when I initially bought it. I will most certainly be coming back because of Joe's care. Thank you again for all your help.

I cannot recommend this Tandy enough for both beginners and experts. My first time in the shop, Joe stayed open late to make sure I had everything I needed and patiently answered all my questions. Now all three of them patiently answer my questions, let me bounce ideas off them, encourage me, and continue to help me build my skill set. I could not imagine a better retail experience. The products are great, but the people are truly excellent. Because of them, I have turned into a lifelong Tandy customer and will continue going there for all of my leather working needs.

Very rude customer service from walking in the door to leaving. Two men working, one of which had no nice comments through the entire shopping experience. Tried to tell me that what I was working on (have done this for years) would not work with the tools/ leather I was using. I was curious if I could return a $70 item and had no issue when I couldn’t. He recommended I donate it to the store, I told him I would rather try to resale to get some of my cost back out of it to which he responded “good luck with that”, why? Is the product not worth it? Then, as I was removing my items from my basket at the counter he said “please leave the basket on your way out… or we will charge you for it”… RUDE I DO NOT NEED A PLASTIC BASKET nor did it appear I would ever take it? Also stated “two hours isn’t that far, we have people drive six hours to our store”. Maybe he was having a bad day but Tandy will not get my business anymore. I will order from other sites with more kind and professional customer service.

My wife has a friend who does a neat job making leather goods so she has decided to give it a try also. We drove to Nashville to shop at Tandy Leather and that was an experience. They have everything for the individual who wants to develop a skill in the trade or hobby. They have the leather in bulk, they have the tools of the trade and they have the misc. support articles that you need to perform the task. They had 2 guys at the check out desk and they were a lil slow to assist us but they came around after a bit and began to help us make some choices and to offer some advice on what to use and how to use it. They have many articles on display to give you ideas and they have loads of books that you can pur hase to help guide you along. The store is in a commercial type building but the parking is right in front of the door so it is convenient. Leather work is durable but they don't give it away, so if you go, take your crexit card, you will need it!

They seem to have a decent selection of leather, but they couldn’t be bothered to help. Two guys at the front , one appeared to be looking something up and the other standing watching but neither could say hello or can I help you. I was in the shop for about 15 minutes and about 10 of it right In Front of them and nothing from either. Walked out and still nothing. From what I saw I could have used 3 large pieces, about $400 but they got $0. Apparently they don’t need the business.

I'm just starting in leather craft. I visited Tandy for the first time to get a few supplies that I didn't have. Met an employee there name Marquez, I'm sure I just butchered the spelling of his name lol. He was very helpful and he demonstrated to me a good way to cut rounded corners and explained to me clearly any questions I asked about tools and the leather and about dyeing the leather.As I was checking out with my items I met another employee name David I believe. This was a great first time experience there and I will definitely be back soon.Talking to the employees just made my interest in leather craft that much more exciting to pursue.Thank you guys for your help!

Nearly everything you need for leatherworking can be found in store. They even have some of the high-end machines in stock. Sometimes, the more uncommon tools are sold out, but they get them back in stock quickly. Almost every kind of leather you will need for day-to-day work is here. The staff is very helpful with any questions you have, as well.

Love the smell when u first walk in . Leather!!; employees are super friendly and helped me get the stuff I needed so I wasn't like oking all day! Drove over an hour to get there, twice so far, and I'm sure I will keep coming! Lots of leather, kits, and rivets, etc. For all your leather working needs.
