I am here with my significant other out of town on leisure. Normally, I would cut his hair myself, but I couldn't for reason that don't pertain to this review. We called first and were told they do not take appointments, but could check in online. We decided to walk-in because as stated, they do not take appointments. When we walked up, three stylist where waiting around at the register and a woman was waiting for someone in the back who was receiving a shampoo at the time. Two of the stylist took one look at my man and walked to the back. The one stylist left at the register was the same woman I had spoken to on the phone. She then informed me that they now had an hour and a half wait between now and the 10 minutes it took us to get to the barbershop. My question is.. Is there now a wait because they didn't know my man is African-American with locs? All we wanted was a face shave I wouldn't dare want them to do anything else. Now we don't want them to do anything for us at all. Their customer service is horrible. I knew as soon as the other two ran to the back what time it was smh.

Normally go to a salon since I have longer hair, but could not get in anywhere over the course of a few days. Checked in online, sat down as soon as I walked in. Since I was new they gave me a free Shampoo, Condition/Scalp Massage, and hot towel for my face. I showed Katie some pictures of what I wanted, she made sure to look at them carefully and take notes. She took notes throughout the entire cut and stopped often to make sure I liked the direction she was going in. She let me know I would need to train my hair for a few months to get the cut I wanted since it had been parted differently for so long, but found the perfect "happy medium" between what I wanted and what I had to work with. Will definitely return for my next cut.

Was jumped on wait time by 2 people that came after me, when they were asked about online appointment they said no. So I know neither had an online appointment they entered their number like I did. Should have taken a picture of the board, but this review wasn’t to get anything free. It’s agervating waisting my lunch hour.

Everything was great, except the beautician that cut my hair, she took it upon herself to think I was just some poor guy off of the street, until I reveal to her at the end of my service that I had recently won the lottery. When she saw that I tipped all of the other stylist in there a $100 each, she changed her whole demeanor towards me, but I still only tipped her a $1 bill.. In hopes that she will never treat another customer that way!

I want to say that I understand long waits but when you go through the Sports Clips App to set an appointment... receive confirmation...be advised your next in line while waiting in their parking lot ... only to walk in two minutes later and receive a text that your Appointment has been Cancelled.This happened to me at this location and when I asked the Rep Alley about it she said that the system cancels it after 20 minutes. I questioned her about this and explained that it was only 2 minutes as I was in the parking lot and read the text message to her. She then advised she cancelled my appointment and that she would put me back in the system but I would have to wait. I went from the "Batters Box" to being advised to wait 45 minutes. I tried to question it but she says system issues. I then proceeded to see her correct everyone else's quote unquote "system issues"; but mine. Those people went ahead of me...even those who weren't in the building. Interestingly enough I was the only melaninated person there. Makes a person wonder ?I sat down and let it be and waited over 90 minutes. I waited and watched as people were checked in the system but weren't even in the building. I watched as people showed ahead of me for over an hour but the system never cancelled their appointment. A few of them even showed up and 5 minutes later they were receiving a haircut. I sat there hurt and shocked by the treatment I received. I told myself then that this would be my last time at this location. This feeling became stronger and stronger with each person I knew I should have been ahead of went ahead of me but I stayed because of the traffic I faced driving to the Hendersonville location and because of the event I had that night.I have been going to Sports Clips for over 20 years...6 at the Hermitage location and I never felt disrespected like how Alley made me feel. The lies she told me and the lack of service was the worst I experienced at a Sports Clips.The woman who cut my hair, Maria, was freaking awesome and I would have loved to have posted about her phenomenal service but unfortunately Alley caused me to write about the lack of service I received instead.With that being said...Sports Clips of Hermitage it has been a great 6 years but there aren't enough MVP service/treatment you could offer to make me return. You lost a loyal customer and now I must debate if I am saying goodbye to the company as a whole or drive 25 minutes out of my way to your Hendersonville location instead of Hermitage which is less than 5 minutes away. The lies and disrespect is something I won't accept.
