Let me start by saying, I love Publix. I grew up going to Publix, it’s my preferred grocery store. Mainly because of the quality of the meat and produce; however, over the last few months, my husband and I have been having to return our meat for it expiring before the expiration date attached to the product by the meat department.
I came home from work, got ready to make my family dinner and the meat was bad that I just bought yesterday. I called the store and the first associate I spoke to was so nice and apologetic, even admitted to me that this has been an ongoing issue and the meat manager is the only manager there and he can connect me to him. I get connected with this manager, never tells me his name, has an attitude from the jump. Tells me that they pack their meat fresh every day so it shouldn’t be an issue but he’ll give me a refund. Then went on to blame Instacart (which I only use sometimes when I’m in a pinch), and I explained to him that this is probably the 5th or 6th time that this has happened even when my husband and I have personally picked out the meat. Then he admits that they’ve been having issues with the meat going bad from their supplier… after he tried making excuses? He then went silent, I’m not sure if he muted himself or just disconnected and that was really the end of the conversation.
I appreciate the refund, but I’m more upset at the attitude, lack of accountability and the inconvenience of it all. Why shop here if everything is going to spoil the next day?

Lauren checked out and bagged my items this evening. Top level service! I wish other grocery stores had customer service as good as Lauren and Publix.

The deli department is awful every single time we go to this location. From the insane wait time (even when we place an online order in advance) to their extreme lack of customer service in that dept. For some reason, we kept giving them another chance because we are aware some days may be busier, etc. But after today, we never intend to visit this location again.

My favorite grocery store of all time. That one is always nice, clean, and well lit the people always have a smile and are always willing to help to go that extra step to help you.

Publix now refuses to accept cash. Went in to get two half gallons of lemonade.
I was paying with cash, so I can't use the self-checkouts. They had one single line with a cashier where you could pay cash.
I wait my turn in line, get up to the cashier, she scans it and I hand her a 20 to pay for my $9 worth of lemonade.
She tells me that they cannot accept bills that large. It was a $20 bill, and they refused to accept bills that large...
It's a new one on me, but apparently they don't take any cash larger than $10 bill.
