The men at Pep Boys on Charlotte Pike, Nashville, took great care of our vehicle. They went above and beyond to get my car fixed for us on a very stressful day. They stayed late to complete the job and to wait on us to get there to pick up the car.

My car continued to not start as it did before the alternator was replaced. I got no confirmation that the alternator was bad. Once the battery was replaced, the vehicle started ok, I think I just needed to replace the battery and not the alternator. $840.00.

Jose, got us checked in. He was efficient, so friendly and welcoming to everyone, despite several people pulling at his attention. It was 3pm on a Friday, and we needed to be done by 5pm. Our oil change and tune up was done before 5pm. Sean Banks did an amazing job!! When we got a quote from the dealership for repairs for another issue, they tore everything apart and did not put everything back properly - that could have caused major additional damage to other parts of our vehicle. Sean Banks resolved the issue when he saw it! We felt very relieved, grateful and taken care of. When it comes to mechanics, I don't trust many people. Jose and Mr. Banks definitely earned my trust in fixing our vehicle. Thank you both!!

I made an appointment to get an oil change and it took 3 hours for it to be completed. I hadn't heard from anyone and there weren't any updates of the status online after 2 hours so I went to check in on my car. They hadn't even pulled it back to be serviced. The technicians were all standing up at the front desk talking and immediately pulled my car back to do the oil change when I got there. They said it'd take 20-30 minutes from that point. I went back to check in after 45 minutes of not hearing anything and no one was at the desk. I stood and waited for 10-15 minutes for someone to notice my arrival. Finally someone came and said they'd check on my vehicle. My car was then pulled up front and a tech came in, put my keys down at a cash register and just walked away without saying anything or acknowledging me. I stood there and waited until 6:59pm (they close at 7pm) before someone came and checked me out. It was a terrible experience and terrible service. The communication was extremely poor and the professionalism was nonexistent. Do not waste your time bringing your car here.

Extreme Warning: Stay Away from Pep Boys in Antioch, TN, and Charlotte Pike West TennesseeSummary of Nightmarish Experience:Incompetent Service: Paid $1,600 for a tune-up, and the engine light reappeared in just two days.Misdiagnosis and Poor Communication: Antioch, TN location misdiagnosed issues, failed to report problems, and displayed a lack of communication between staff members.Attitude Problem: Unprofessional attitude from both the front desk and the manager, evident by their failure to recognize a key technician and their overall dismissive demeanor.Unethical Recording Practices: Manager at Antioch recorded a phone conversation without informing the customer, potentially jeopardizing safety while driving.Managerial Confession: Manager at Antioch admitted to being rude and unfit for the role, justifying it by claiming the need to maintain toughness.Disregard for Customer Time: Unacceptably long waiting times, with one customer waiting over 4.5 hours for a simple tire rotation.Poor Communication and Broken Promises: Lack of communication from Charlotte Pike location, with unreturned calls, broken promises of callbacks, and a failure to update on the vehicle's progress.Unprofessionalism in Handling COVID Exposure: Extended delays in procuring parts, leading to unnecessary exposure to COVID-19 for the customer.Mechanical Incompetence: Despite obtaining the necessary part, Pep Boys struggled to fix the vehicle, eventually refusing to work on it altogether.Vehicle Mishandling: Confession that even if they were to put the engine back in its original condition, the car would still be undrivable.Towing Necessity: The vehicle had to be towed from Pep Boys due to their inability to resolve the issues they caused.Detailed Account of the Nightmare:My experience with Pep Boys in Antioch, TN, and Charlotte Pike West Tennessee has been nothing short of a nightmare, encompassing a series of misdiagnoses, unprofessional attitudes, unethical recording practices, prolonged waiting times, poor communication, and mechanical incompetence. It all began with a tune-up costing a staggering $1,600, only for the engine light to reappear within two days. The Antioch location misdiagnosed the issues, failing to report crucial problems and displaying a disturbing lack of communication between staff members. The attitude problem was palpable, with both the front desk and the manager at Antioch failing to recognize a key technician, JB, who had moved to the Charlotte Pike location. This lapse in recognition was attributed to an apparent attitude issue within the staff. The manager at Antioch took unprofessionalism to a new level by recording a phone conversation without informing the customer, and when confronted, justified his rude behavior by claiming the need to maintain toughness. This managerial confession is a red flag, signaling a lack of basic manners and professionalism.Furthermore, Pep Boys displayed a blatant disregard for customer time, with one customer waiting over 4.5 hours for a simple tire rotation. The Charlotte Pike location continued this trend of poor communication, with unreturned calls, broken promises of callbacks, and a failure to provide updates on the vehicle's progress. The handling of COVID exposure was equally concerning, with extended delays in procuring parts, needlessly exposing the customer to the virus. Even after obtaining the required part, Pep Boys struggled to fix the vehicle, eventually refusing to work on it altogether, confessing that the car would still be undrivable even if the engine were returned to its original condition. The final blow came when the vehicle had to be towed away from Pep Boys, a drastic measure prompted by their incompetence and negligence. In light of this horrendous experience, I strongly advise potential customers to steer clear of Pep Boys in Antioch, TN, and Charlotte Pike West Tennessee at all costs. Learn from my ordeal and spare yourself the frustration and inconvenience.

Went in to get a battery replaced and have a tire checked for leaking air. I was quoted 45 minutes, even with a 9am appointment. I was there TWO hours with no one giving me updates. Only for a guy to come out and tell me (with no filter in hand, that I needed to replace my air filter.) crazy, because there is no reason to touch my air filter when changing out my battery. Moreover, I went to pay and was charged for an air filter and a tire repair which I never saw either. They showed me some “pictures” of their patch which you couldn’t make out what it was the pictures were so distorted. I have since put air in my supposed fixed tire twice in the last week! No one will answer the phone to reconcile the issue! I’m sure it was because I was female, but they picked the wrong one!

Absolutely the worst experience. Left my car there to get 1 tired changed. Made the appointment online for 12. They didn’t work on it till 7:15pm. Continually asked for 30 more minutes to get it done but never did. Saw my car in the garage for 4 hours untouched. Would not recommend anyone going here.
