Absolutely my favorite place downtown! The symphony center is a treasure for Nashville and an example of how this community comes together to give the arts their proper place. Everything from the lighting to the ductwork is designed with acoustics in mind. Be on the lookout for hidden irises - the Tennessee State flower - throughout the venue.

World class! Architecture, cleanliness and well preserved and maintained. The building structure alone will blow your mind. Acoustically perfect, balcony seating. Not a bad seat in the house. You can almost sit on stage in the box seats I sat in. Extraordinary! Nashville symphony was world class as well. The conductor was very passionate in his work and presentation

I bought the jazz pops series. I have seats in the West Balcony. I'm never disappointed. It's a beautiful music experience.

My friends and I attended a performance of the Messiah by George Frederick Handel on December 8, 2023. I have a Bachelor of Music degree and have heard this masterpiece multiple times. Some performances are heavy and serious. While much of the libretto is profound, I appreciated how light and fresh the Nashville Symphony made this feel. My friends agreed with my opinion. Kudos to the conductor, choir and orchestra! I hope to hear them again soon!

This is an absolutely beautiful place. The vibe is very elegant, so arrive dressed up. This is my second concert here, and I plan on attending several more concerts before the year ends. If you're looking for a gorgeous elegant place for an amazing photoshoot, a romantic date venue, or just a classy elegant night out with friends and family, this is the place.

I recently attended a concert here, and the staff were all friendly and nice. The venue is beautiful and looked very well maintained. The seem to offer different types of events; if I lived in Nashville I'd probably visit more frequently.

The grounds for this organization host critical roost locations for a vulnerable native bird species--the purple martin-- for a brief time during the birds' annual long distance migration from North America to South America. Instead of working to find a solution that continues to support these special birds, the Symphony is planning to cut down the trees that thousands of purple martins depend upon during their long journey south.

We saw Little River Band at Schermerhorn. The venue was very nice easy access in and out of Nashville. Most of the volunteers were friendly and worked hard. There was one Volunteer at door 3 that was on a mission to harass the attendees. They had announced no cameras. It was her mission to enforce this to the point she became a distraction running up and down the aisle with a symbol on her phone with a camera and a red circle slash through it. LRB was a good show.

The Nashville Symphony has a lovely home downtown at the Schermerhorn. We just moved from Houston where we had a very active symphony, but have to say Nashville is really impressive. I think we actually enjoy the programming choices better here. In addition to the standard classical programming, the Broadway guests and non-classical musicians they bring in for collaborations have been providing some wonderful evenings of entertainment.

One of Nashville's top attractions. The building itself is beautiful and the symphony is fantastic. They host such a broad variety of programs that everyone can find a show they want to see. I would like to recommend that their movie performances include fresh popped popcorn. The staff is very helpful.

Four of us went to see The Fab Four: The Ultimate Tribute perform here. Overall, the Schermerhorn is an upscale venue with good acoustics and pleasant atmosphere. The facilities are clean and kept up well.
The seats are fairly typical of what's expected in live theater venue and were comfortable, with a cupholder available on the seat in front of you. Rows and seat numbers were well-marked and easy to find.
Bathrooms were downstairs and were easy to find. They were clean and a little on the upscale side, as well.
During intermission you can get refreshments, including alcoholic beverages with a fairly well-stocked bar for the small space that it occupies. However, be prepared to pay some pretty high prices here. I paid $5 for a 20-oz. bottle of Diet Coke.
Vendors of t-shirts and CDs camp out at simple tables placed just outside the entrance to the theater area itself. Facilities for transactions were very bare bones. Items were cash only and the vendors had no bags in which to carry your purchased items while you watched the show.
The ticket-takers and ushers were very pleasant and ready to be helpful. You barely had to approach them and make eye contact for them to offer assistance, which was a refreshing and welcome experience.
The acoustics were very good, although not the best I've ever heard. We had just seen another Beatles tribute act, Rain, at the Belmont Fisher Center, and the sound was stellar and perfect. I'm not sure if the difference comes down to the act itself and the sound engineers they may have provided, or if it was the venue itself, but because we have heard better, I'd rate the sound of the performance we saw here 4 stars out of 5.
I would recommend the Schermerhorn as a good venue at which to see a show, and I would come here again to see other performances.

Stunning building and experience. I’ve only been once, but can’t wait to go back. The building is architecturally beautiful inside and out. They seem to have indoor and outdoor lounge areas and concessions. Inside the performance area there is a large stage with an organ and seating for a choir and of course the symphony. I sat in the front orchestra floor section and the seats gave us a stunning and close view of the performance. Highly, highly recommend visiting. The building is located just off the downtown broadway strip, which gets rowdy at night and likely causes uber/lyft prices to soar. I recommend parking in the Library garage ($10 after 5pm) and walking. Although I think the building has an onsite parking garage ($20).

Our conductor and muscians are extrodinary.... 11 grammies tell you something . Maestro Guerrerro's talks before the classsical nights are the most amazing music education programs I've ever attended. He, and the guest composers have taught me ways to listen that have expanded my appreciation beyond what I ever imagined.
