I had an unfortunate turn of events that left me stranded in Nashville for about a week and was grateful for the shelter. Other than that, it was a very unpleasant experience. I was almost thrown out my first day just for asking if anyone demonstrated the love of Christ at this Christian mission because I had been yelled at by almost everyone. They treated people like cattle and then quarantined me to a room with no air conditioning because they said I was exposed to Covid and then they forgot to bring me food or my toiletries. The best decision I made was to walk back out on the streets where I was cared for by random strangers and was safely able to make it back home. They made fun of me as I was walking out the door. "We have a runner," they laughed and yelled to each other as I requested my belongings. It saddens me that people in need are exposed to this type of humiliation and neglect. If you are someone looking to donate to this ministry, please look into another organization. The Spirit of our Lord wasn't found there.

Horrible people in and out. Grind it out yourself. Please dont go there. They will lie on you. The ignorance is bliss and the hatred is futile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There were only 2 women there that were nice but other than that dont go please. You will be better off finding another shelter some where else trust me!!!!! If you are pretty with a little sense and stand up for yourself, you are a goner just like me. Stand tall my ppl and Ase to you!!!

There Are So Many That Turn A Positive Into A Negative, Then There Are Those Whom Turn A Negative Into A Positive.I Have Had Possibly Been Called Every Name, In Hope's To Hopefully Take Away Your Beauty Inside And Out. The Staff As It Took Me Awhile To Get To Know Me ..I Wasn't Trying To Get Brownie Points But I Found All Of Them Amazing And Each One Had Their Own Story Much The Same As Mine. It's Not Heaven Here Though Many Challenging Personalities But After A Extremely Abusive Relationship I'm Free And Going To Have My Own Place Sooner Then Later.God Bless All Of You Having Confidence In Me.

This place is like jail but you have your kids. The staff is very rude and disrespectful. For it to be so called christian based it's a joke. The curfew and the wake up times are not consistent on anyone who has a normal life waking up at 5:30 a.m. on the weekends when nothing is even open is ridiculous some people come from other states and can't go to a relative house.

I personally have been blessed enough not to have to stay there. I've had two family members stay there and because they weren't liked by staff and the other residents. They were lied on and put back out on the streets without being able to give there side of the situation. I pray I am never in need of this establishment.

Thanks to the shelter I didn't have to sleep on the street but the attitude of the staff was horrific. My only crime was losing my home but they treated me (and others) like criminals. Staff needs better training.

I checked into The Nashville Rescue Mission today and I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place and the entire staff. Thank you Nashville for making this place available for people in need as well as proving free transportation for the homeless in town and thank you to everyone working at the shelter for your warmth and kindness. Also a big thanks to Fahmi for being so friendly and kind chauffeuring people from the shelter.Thank you again!

The supervisor was rude and abrupt. Wouldn't address me directly. Was standing there with my service dog who was standing next to me and supervisor wouldn't allow me in because she was afraid of dogs. She said to another employee, "That dog looks like it's getting ready to do something!" But I was standing next to a police officer and we both tried to tell her that the dog is alert because she is trained. That doesn't mean she is about to do something. But I felt harmed by her harsh assessment of my trained medical alert dog. She wasn't kind at all and that's hard to take for people who are trying to get help when everyone in society turns them away and their last hope is this place and they get turned away based on their medical need for a dog that keeps them safe by detecting seizures. Instead of learning something new she chose to close the door on education and stay ignorant and unhelpful. Sad because I could have helped her overcome her debilitating fear, instead I have to report her to the ADA and she has to be forced to learn.

The greatest place for a homeless woman in Tennessee or most likely any other state. My favorite part was the fact it is Christian centered with nightly worship services. Thank the Lord for this place through my journey of homelessness and healing. I now have been living in my own apartment for over two years. I am a survivor of domestic abuse and fled California with the clothes on my back.

This is not a bad place. Every place as rules and regulations to follow. If you follow the rules you will have no problems.

This place is an awesome experience to go & serve the women who have no where to go with their children. These people give them support, supplies & food to keep them healthy. God watches over this mission in so many ways...
