4 months...they still have not correctly cut checks to return overpaid rent and security deposit. They are always "working on it." Sent checks with wrong name to wrong address. Other checks were sent; haven't seen them. Now they insist names of both daughter & roommate must be on checks..."legal reasons"...which makes checks harder to cash. It's as if they are making it as difficult as possible to get the money we are owed back to us.

The location and cost of Midtown Place are great, but management is impossible to get a hold of. As others mentioned, management changes frequently, and they have no physical presence at the building (besides Rocco who is the best maintenance there is). My roommate and I moved out over two months ago and are still waiting to get our security deposit and a refund back on part of our rent. The actual building is great for the price, but make sure you have time to constantly nag management if you plan to live here.

I highly highly recommend NOT living here. The front door has been broken intermittently for over a year, I saw the girl that lives next to me peeing in the street a few weeks ago because we couldn't get into the building. On average, 25-30% of my packages are stolen. I once woke up at 3 am because there was smoke in my apartment and it smelled like a fire, the emergency maintenance guy told me they couldn't come until I knew what was causing the smell. The air was so bad I had to sit outside until 7 am for the day person to come tell me that my circuit board caught on fire. One of the Airbnb groups was throwing stuff off the balcony and broke the sun roof on my car. I never get responses from management but if someone happens to read this can you fix the holes in my wall that have been present since the massive water leak last summer? Unfortunately 0 stars isn't an option.

I lived at Midtown Place for three years. The management was sometimes a pain, but was better toward the end. Rocko -- in maintenance -- is awesome. I would hear my neighbors dog bark, but it was otherwise quiet! Great location for bars and Vanderbilt. Bare bones amenity-wise, but the apartment itself was nice. They discontinued the Airbnb program at the end of my stay, which is definitely for the best.

Cheaply constructed, thin walls, bending support beams in the community center garden. The apartment manager changed three times (four different managers in total) the one year I lived here. They will take your entire security deposit.
It is cheap relative to the location, and may superficially appear aesthetically okay if you don't look too close. Those are the only positive aspects I can offer.

Best place to live in Midtown/Music Row area!
Very affordable, great amenities and fantastic location! 9 foot ceilings, hardwood floors, high end appliances and granite countertops, you really can’t get any better. Oh, and the floor plan is actually great for those of you that have normal sized furniture. I looked at other places in the area before I moved here, they have odd shaped rooms, tiny bedrooms and awkwardly setup layouts making it impossible to fit any sort of normal furniture in there. I have a huge L-shaped sofa with chase in my living room and California king bed in my bedroom.
The best part, you can walk to restaurants on Demonbreun and Division Street, or to CVS, Starbucks, Chipotle, Bruegger’s and Panera Bread. Mellow Mushroom is right down the street, and if you feel like something fancy, half a block away is Caviar and Bananas... and the best part, Taco Mamacita is like three blocks away! The neighborhood is very quiet, clean and safe, I walk my dog around all the time, she loves it here.
I’m not sure why there are so many negative reviews, but probably from competitors in the area. This is a professionally managed complex, unless you go postal on your place with a sledge hammer when you move out, you’ll get your security deposit back. As far as the bad reviews on maintenance, they couldn’t be any nicer! Had some lights above my kitchen burn out. They came by quickly to replace them, even letting me know so I can make sure my dog is secured so she’s not bothering them.
As far as the noise goes, the neighborhood is very quiet, you may hear the sound of a trash truck early in the morning, or some loud exhaust driving down the street, but if you thinks that’s bothersome, buy yourself a tent and live in the woods. A couple of the units they rent out, and saw a mom with three cheerleaders going to the unit above me, I thought I wasn’t going to get any rest. She knocked on my door the next day apologizing if they were being loud, and I couldn’t hear anything.
The staff is incredibly nice and pleasant to deal with. I looked at three other places, every place else it seemed like I was bothering them by asking questions, but here they’re more than happy to help!
As far as some negatives go, because nothing is perfect, here’s my feedback. Parking is limited, and you should expect this, living in a major city!!! Because of the businesses around, someone may park in your spot. I notified the office when someone was doing this and they rectified it right away. My biggest gripe is Google Fiber isn’t fully setup, but has to do with something regarding access they need to private property owned by Vanderbilt.
In all, hands down would recommend this place to anyone. Friends who come are very impressed, especially when you tell them the price.

This is a very nice place to live, super close to Vanderbilt University and a lot of places at walkable distance.

I've been so happy here since I moved in almost a year ago. I love the apartment - it has everything I need, and is so reasonably priced for the quality and location. I hope to stay here for as long as I am at Vanderbilt. Also - Bryan the manager has been really lovely and helpful in all our interactions.

Good location. The most terrible management imaginable. And then worse. Google doesnt allow 0 stars unfortunately.

Pathetic management, cheats and dupes you of your security deposit when you move out. Location is great with it's vicinity to Broadway & Vandy, but be ready to loose most of your security deposit after you move out.
