Been coming here for over 30 years Dr McCormick is absolutely wonderful he saved the life of my precious Snickers who fell out of a tree and it required him to actually take his organs out of his body and then putting them back in so my little cat could breathe normally again so I was able to have him for a wonderful 8 years I will never forget that experience.

Speedy and exceptional care. Staff go over invoices and costs super well, right in the room. Checking with you several times prior to services. I brought both my cats here and my large senior dog. Appreciate them letting you be with your pet during the exam upon request. I wouldn't go here if they wouldn't let me be a part of the exam, so it's greatly appreciated. Especially after going through 3 different vet practices just this year..
The only complaints would be wishing staff felt more comfortable drawing blood..on both cats and dogs. And would actually attempt to do so instead of just saying they can't. Then getting a Dr to draw blood on the back leg of a very large dog.. with very big veins.. Who is trained for needle pokes etc. The easiest patient to get blood from and they wouldn't even try. The Dr was visibly annoyed by this. Vet techs should know how to draw blood if they have a license and are getting paid for those services. End of discussion. Dr can't do everything without a solid, trained team.
And other complaint would be lots of chaos in the boarding department. I don't personally believe pets should board where healthcare is the goal. Especially surgeries or sensitive procedures. Where sick animals are being hospitalized or are recovering from a trauma. Very loud in the clinic from the boarding side. Both in the exam room and in the lobby, so if you have a shy pet definitely get some form of sedation. Very loud. Which is expected with boarding facilities but makes hearing your veterinarian difficult.
While waiting for your appointment you will encounter pets coming in for boarding, grooming, nail trims, etc. I had to push a hyper dog off me and my cat so please be aware people come in frequently with high energy anxious pets. Happened all 3 separate times I went to McCormick Animal Clinic. Had to physically move away from hyper dogs. People definitely like to let their dogs come up to you and jump on you, etc. Not okay- period. Wish some intervention came from the reception staff.

All the staff her are super friendly and the prices are reasonable. The vet and staff were also super thorough with my dog and I didn’t feel rushed at all.

I highly recommend Dr. John McCormick to take great care of your fur babies! He has cared for several of our cats over the last 20 years. His calm and caring demeanor is a blessing throughout all stages of your pet's life. His friendly staff are amazing as well!!

We have used McCormick for years. They have done everything for us, from new pet checkups and shots to end of life care. We've boarded with them as well. They have always dealt with our cats & dogs professionally and compassionately. We've never been surprised by billing and every choice & every procedure has always been explained in advance. This clinic is very easy to work with.

Dr. John McCormick and his team are exceptional! I have been going to them for over 13 years. He has taken care of my beloved pets from early life until it was time to say goodbye. HIs compassion, expertise and genuine care of animals and humans alike is the best veterinary care I have ever received. I am deeply grateful for everything they do.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about McCormick Animal Clinic. Both Doctor McCormick and Dr. Hillary were so attentive and caring. Our senior dog Lazar got very sick with a respiratory infection. I couldn’t afford hospitalization, so Dr. McCormick said I could transport him daily and they cared for and medicated him - this was a last ditch effort. After 5 days of this impromptu acute care and hand feeding, Lazar turned the corner. A bit of a miracle and it’s given me an xtra few quality years with my best friend. I will always be so grateful!You can trust these folks - they’re exceptional.

Dr. Mccormick and Dr. Karst are the two most compassionate and wonderful veterinarians I’ve ever met. They were there for frankly a large number of pets who needed them and I will always love them specifically. I have since moved away, and am so sad I no longer have the support of these wonderful people for my pets I have now. I cannot say enough good things about the two decades I was able to frequent Mccormick’s Animal Clinic.

McCormick animal clinic cares about the animals. The staff is very friendly and courteous and kind. I love McCormick animal clinic. You can board your animals If you need to go out of town they’re just wonderful people.
