This is a store done right. The staff at Jackson Downs Liquor is second to none when it comes to selection, prices and knowledge of any of your favorites. I unfortunately don't live in Nashville, but everytime I do visit, they do and will continue to see me!!! Keep up the awesome service and keep those hard to find favorites coming as well!!!!

Excellent selection of bourbons. Good prices with daily specials, including 10% off Tennessee made products on Tuesdays. Would like to see a better selection of rye whiskeys.

Fair prices, great staff. They will point you in the direction of good bottles, and they will often have some harder to find ones you can pick up.
Edit: I am updating my original review. This is easily the best spot on this side of town. They have worked over the last several years to expand options and really offer things that are just not carried at other places, all at a very fair price. The staff are some of the nicest and most knowledgeable around, without ever being pushy. They are not going to try to push some overpriced mid-tier bottle on you. They offer tastings on a regular basis, and if you are a regular they will even pop a bottle for you to try. Easily the best place around, by a mile. I have stopped going any place else.

Overzealous security guard I'm dropping off handicapped person waiting for them to come out he comes out playing Barney Fife taking pictures of my car acting like he's a cop. Call. I've never purchased alcohol there I rarely drink but I know on the occasions that I do I will not buy it there. I also refused to take my handicap friend there. The man had the gall to tell me the next time I came back onto the property that I would be arrested which is a joke he has no idea who he was talking to he does not even have authority outside of that building.

I can’t wait till they get rid of that old racist white man. He can barley hear and is only friendly to white people. Other than that, the store is great!

Store was clean, with nice displays, & had a very nice selection. I've been going here for years, and I can always find what I want easily, so not a lot of unnecessary moving of things.

Neighborly staff. The clerk working the night I visited seemed to be familiar with the locals. There seems to be a plethora of liquors and wine to choose from. I did notice that the parking lot was a bit dark with few lighting.
