Walked in right before 4 and was refused service due to being “closed” even though the site says they close at 6pm. There were people still on the phones and a preparer could’ve met with me, but she declined. Not very hospitable.

I verbally expressed to the individual at the 2811- B Clifton Ave location I would like to file my taxes with the only if I could take advantage of the advancement on my taxes . I was told I would receive a text message and I never did. I paid a 200 dollar fee and was scammed. The advanced promotion ended on February 29th and I was not told this until after I called back to inquire on why I have not received the advanced to the emerald card .

I feel HR Block charge too much, $270 for a written return. For $270 the client should at least get audit guarantee w/out any additional cost. I was in sticker shock when the tax associate told me how much I owed and the cost only covered entering the return and paperwork. The tax associate was very professional and gave me good service.

I called to make an appointment and the woman on the phone was very rude and unhelpful. I explained my situation and that I had never done my taxes in person before, only online and when I asked how long an appointment would be so I could make it work with my meeting schedule, she stated that she had absolutely no idea. Now, I have worked in offices with schedules - I know that you have to block a certain amount of time off for a meeting. So why couldn't that information be provided? I will be taking my business elsewhere and I am very disappointed by this first impression.
