Regular visitor to the city and was wanting to find a Day Pass to workout. The Staff were super friendly & made it so easy to get a pass at $15. Atmosphere was great. Will definitely be my spot each time I come to Nashville, TN.

We were in Nashville for a house hunting trip and of course that always includes finding a good gym. Gym 5 is an excellent spot with good equipment, a clean environment, friendly staff and courteous members. One should be aware it's an old school gym for lifting, not exercise classes, swimming or other extracurriculars. I absolutely loved it and will join when we return on a more permanent basis. Highly recommend.

Went to this gym consistently for several years, and I’d still be going if it wasn’t for an injury. Staff and regulars are lovely, special shout out to Beatrice who I did personal training with weekly. She truly cares for her clients and helping them achieve their desired results. The occasional dog running around and Taylor’s homemade cookies for sale gives this gym character. Big fans!

Staff is unprofessional and rude. I was out of town leading up to Christmas. I came in on the 26th. Beatrice, also a personal trainer, rudely stated that the gym closes at 8pm instead of 9pm, their standard operating hours. When I asked if they sent an email out, she said that there is a sign on the front desk and that I'd have to enjoy a 40 minute workout. I asked, aside from being clairvoyant, how I was supposed to know that. She said it wasn't her problem. This experience has convinced me to cancel my membership. I would also recommend doing personal training with Beatrice given her disposition. It seems like ownership is more concerned about the dogs they let roam around the gym than their membership.

Great gym and environment. Don't go if you don't like following a lot of their rules, such as carrying your gym bag around, but this element is what makes it a great space to train. They have all the equipment you could ask for, other than oly lifting, but I think that's kind of on purpose. I personally had a great experience, but I could see some people liking a more old-school environment with chalk everywhere, or a place that welcomes the ego-lifting shenanigans and therefore being turned off by the vibe they created here. But definitely check it out. I loved the place.

Great gym, best one I could find in East Nashville. Super nice feature to have an outside workout area that is turf. Equipment in good shape and staff is great. Has everything you need.

I love it here! It’s just what I need for my daily workouts. It’s no frills and honestly that’s what I look for in a gym.

Really enjoy the no frills, brick and mortar aesthetic, and lots of committed lifters come here. They offer skilled trainers too.

I got really lucky with the location,it was within walking distance of our hotel. Not bashing..It was an average gym.. not the most or eclectic equipment.Basic line of hammer strength equipment but not the full line.Plenty of cables & squat racks.Plastic weight though...feels more like a fitness gym.Gym was spacious in areas, very clean, paper towels and disinfectant spray all around&never had to wait for equipment.I have been in way tighter gyms. Also has an up stairs for the cardio equipment. All n All its a basic gym where you can get it in.My complaint is got charged $15 for day pass.

Take a good look around east Nashville and you'll notice people are not generally "fit" or in great shape. Take a look at all the gyms and there is the answer. The staff here could not care less about you or your membership. They make that very clear. You don't matter and it's not your membership that keeps the lights on. It's a locals club and if you've been going to gyms for 40 years like me. You know the atmosphere I'm talking about. The hours, for a gym are laughable and with no reason. For every new chain taco place that opens in east I continue to wait for ANY national gym chain but I believe real estate priced them out. Orange Theory, Cross fit, Shred Shed and the 5 other group fitness places are simply not weight-lifting gyms. It's a shame because this place is a few changes away from being a good gym. For everyone.

Very dirty gym. Water fountains covered in crud, bathrooms stink and dirty, dirt and dust everywhere. Mirrors have crud on them. I’ve never seen one staff member clean while there. They bring their dogs and they’re in the way. They urinate in the outside gym-which all you can smell is old urine. Old ripped and broken equipment. The staff is to be desired,Not that welcoming. Hardly anyone at the front to greet you. I walked in one day and saw a sign at the front desk to remind members to wear deodorant. It wasn’t a polite sign fyi. You can’t clean your own filthy gym but you’re going to humiliate people to wear deodorant?!They got too comfortable with really being the only space in East. There’s a brand new state of the art gym coming in to East. They should clean up their act and add some equipment and repair what they have, or it’s going to be to late.

Best gym in nashville. Great for meat heads and lady meat heads! I like the outside part too when it’s nice outside.

While I went, everyone was nice and it felt like how a gym should feel like.Parking is horrid, crowds of people during peak hours make it where you wait a few minutes for a machine. There is a bunch of gym equipment, but it is old and out of date a long with the one water fountain available and bathrooms.

Great gym. Plenty of space, friendly front desk, easy to get day-pass. Lots of fit people that are great motivation.
