Rachel went above and beyond to help me with a series of issues connected to switching MACs. She spent a lot of time uploading and downloading and backing up my data, as well as repairing and reconfiguring an older hard drive so I didn't need to buy a new one. And the cost of service was exactly the original quote even though I'm sure it took more time than she imagined. Now my challenge is to understand how to operate the new MAC:). I'm 71 and a 30-year Microsoft user so a lot of the explanations went over my head but I can attest that Rachel is very knowledgable. I think she would be especially effective with folks who are looking to maximize space, increase operation speed and fully utilize their machines.

Very thorough and professional service. They handled our problems quickly, efficiently, and at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend either one of their locations. I've used them both and they're both great.

I had broken my laptop screen a month back and was using a monitor for a display. This isn't the problem. I ordered a screen and I know how to replace it. the problem was when my computer randomly stopped working. I hadn't touched the motherboard anytime soon. The only thing I had messed with was the section of the computer the screen was attached to. I would turn the computer on, fans would start, keyboard lit up, broken screen would light up, and then it would shut off within 2 - 4 seconds. I checked every possible connection: to the battery, to the screen, the fans, ram, memory, etc. I then tested whether the motherboard powered up and worked with certain hardware detached. After going through everything, the problem remained the same, therefor, the motherboard has to be the issue. After I did all the easy stuff I knew the only thing I could do was go to a computer tech. I came to computer renaissance where there seemed to only be one tech, who wasn't at the shop. After getting my computer inspected here, I came back hoping to see the tech. I was told my motherboard was dead. I wasn't really given an explanation as to why. The person in the shop, I believe to be a receptionist who was very nice, gave the tech who inspected my computer a call. He explained how he had disconnected and connected everything like I had done. He mentioned how the computer wouldn't even display on HDMI, which is a given; The computer not staying on is the issue. I thought that this tech would know how to solder or troubleshoot, which would be outside of what literally anyone can do. If this tech knows how to check the power flow on a motherboard, he clearly didn't want to, but It's easier to push the problem aside as a dead motherboard in need of a $400-$500 replacement and downgrade. Didn't even mention that he lost some screws. I was then charged 75 bucks, which I paid since I hadn't mentioned the diagnosis I had done very well, and I wasn't in the mood to start an argument with someone who wasn't even there. I conclude, I am not happy with my diagnosis. if you want a computer tech that is capable of more than just working on the basic unplug-able hardware, and who can do more advanced motherboard troubleshooting outside that unplug-able hardware then I would recommend somewhere else.

I'm a DIYer, but they were quite helpful anyway, no charge! I was having CPU fan issue, looking for fan and tools. They don't sell parts (only as part of service), but they gave me were even so very helpful, gave me a free tool and even took the back of the laptop off so they could look at the fan with me. I've now got my fan on order and feel ready to go. Thank you, Computer Renaissance! I don't need your service often, but when I have you're my go-to.

I definitely recommend this business! I brought my laptop that is approximately 3 to 4 years old to this shop. The hinge was broken. I thought it would be a simple repair but it wasn't. The owner made sure he took his time with the repair. When I got my laptop back I had a new case and new screws plus added memory and laptop runs so smooth now! Thank you!

Greg was amazing. I bought a pre-built system from Origin and had a few issues with the system bios and fan speed. I was ready to scrub the pc or at least swap out the motherboard and CPU.Greg was able to diagnose the issue and even maximized the system and rewired the PC which Origin did a very bad job.Runs like new.Overall I will continue to go to Greg for maintenance and new builds in the future. This is LOCAL PC expert for this side of Nashville/Franklin.

Wasted two weeks of my time and tried to charge me over $1300 to swap basic components and didn’t even do as requested and the ‘tech’ who setup my new chassis fried one of my 4TB M.2s. Don’t bring your PC here period my five y/o could do better wire management.

Came in looking for a specific component which they ended up not having, but a rep called the owner / manager who steered me in the right direction, saving me time and potentially from bricking my new GPU. Didn't end up needing to buy anything so I figured I'd shout them out with the review.

I took a 8 yr old laptop in that was determined to be DOA (something "killed" the motherboard). While I appreciated the quick assessment and call with the news (received within a couple of hours after leaving), info to explain and possible options were not given by Dillon unless I specifically asked (sometime you don't know what you don't know to ask). Due to the nature of the issue they were able to extract and salvage data onto a flash drive which I was very thankful to get. The pickup was next day for the hard drive unit and flash drive I had left just in case from the day before. Chgs for all of this was a bit steep but it is what it was. Overall I appreciated the help and quick turn around. However I feel they could be a bit more forthcoming in explaining things and possible options as well as a little lower on costs.
