A former fitness path on a hillside that became a dog park. Not much to it really: fenced, one water fountain, two gates.
It's shady, which is nice in the heat, but between the trees, the slope, and the dogs running around the grass really struggles to grow here. There's a lot of bare dirt and rocks.
The water fountain is only turned on late spring through fall.
In reality this is a pretty poor dog park, but it eeks out 4 stars due to the good location right across from Centennial Park.
Update 10/24:
They recently resurfaced the paths and moved some of the benches. This may help reduce the mud (for humans anyway) when wet, but it also seems to have unearthed more rocks. A bit of a mixed bag.

Lovely spot, a little rocky tbh and busy. Probably a great park for those that live close.

Nice dog park if you're in the area. It's on a hill with a lot of rocks and isn't very big, so we only go here when in West Nashville running errands. Honestly, it would have been better to have put it in Centennial proper instead so it would be on flat ground and save for the dogs.

A really solid dog park by the Parthenon! Lots of space for playing with your dogs and gets some exercise. Poop bags available at the entrance too which is a bonus and free parking!
Dog-friendliness: A great place to bring your fur babies and to get them socialized with other dogs! Our girls had a such a great time and there are poop bags available at the entrance which is nice too. It’s a really large park too which is nice and interactive for all of the dogs to play and get the zoomies out!

Great fenced-in, off-leash dog park just across the street from the Parthenon.

The dog park was fantastic! They were obviously under control as they ran around all around. If you're there, enter the Parthenon by paying the $6 admission fee. It's arguably Nashville's most affordable—yet fantastic—experience. It is the only one built to scale and completely repaired in the entire world. The Holly He gift shop and ticket sales are located at the lower entrance. I really suggest going downtown if you are in the area. The guides are free and everyone is polite. Also, they end trips at 2:00 PM. I hope you like the pictures. The Parthenon, the park, and this are all rather close to one another.
