March 2024 by Bad Taste
One thing or another every time I stop in there. In the last three weeks I've encountered: Bathrooms out of order, fountain drinks machine issues, out of coffee, credit card machines down, out of diesel fuel, gasoline pumps out of order, bathroom reeks of weed, kitchen closed, kitchen open but no food available, employees ignoring customers and having conversations among themselves. After yesterday's visit I've decided I will not frequent this business anymore. It's unfortunate since I work down the street and this is the most convenient location for gas or food, etc. Many years ago Casey's was a great establishment, good place to shop, but in the last year or so, the quality has declined drastically. Hope the company can rectify the situation.

pretty sad that a truck driver comes to a place with truck parking and cant even get food.. the kitchen couldn’t make chicken tenders.. i asked can i order those they said not right now.. it was more because they didn’t want to rather than they couldn’t make them.. sad caseys that hopefully gets taken over by a place that cares

Even after the remodel...bathrooms always out of order and yet they serve food ?? and and early mornings only 1 cashier to check those out those who trying to go to work. Guess I'll choose 7/11 on White Bridge Road for my go to ... just pathetic . And those who are eating there imagine the cooks not washing their hands while preparing your food?

They dont answer their phone at night, cant speak to day time. But called them at night to find out if the kitchen stays open and no one picks up. Bad way to run a business. That said when Ive gone in there the employees are friendly, and their pizza is on point 10/10 for gas station pizza.**Response to owner: Im not looking for a hand out or free this or that. I am not a Karen. If you do what you said and get better so will my review. As I said the pizza was outstanding. I do hate your phone setup which insists on taking an order even if that isn't what you want to do. I work at night, I was looking for a spot I could get good pizza 24/7 still wasn't able to get an answer.

Not sure where all the hate is coming from. I had to do some work at the Goodwill Outlet up the road and stopped in. I had never been in a Casey's and didn't realize they had so much stuff. Food smelled good. The Casey's brand food was actually good. The staff was super friendly. I'd definitely come back if I'm ever driving through again.

If I could give zero stars I would. Dirty, filthy place. They don’t even clean up the garbage cans or clean sidewalks from ice. And guess what? There’s no diesel today and they don’t bother giving this information until you stand in front of the fuel desk. This place is a big joke.

Lol one gas pump open. Seriously? Why even be open? Traffic is a nightmare getting in and out of the location just to sit in another line waiting for gas.One star is for the manager promising a gift card if I submitted a review.

This place is always missing things. Good luck getting in and out in less than 5 minutes. Every time I walk in to get anything, theres always a commotion.

Two stars just for the benefit of the doubt that one day this place might be worth a stop. Today 11/16/23 they have nothing in the store to purchase, and only outdoor restrooms due to remodeling. Why be open?History lesson if you don’t know the place: it was a pilot. for some, that should be enough info. The Pilot was a real piece of work for many years, having sketchy workers, customers, and generally anything one could find in this part of town. The plus side to that, is that everyone knew what they were walking into, and some of us enjoyed the crazy things that happened.Benefit of the doubt: no amount of training by an Iowa company that thinks they are better than everyone else is going to change the people who are willing to work here. It’s going to be filthy, run down, and probably see its fair share of robberies over time. I do hope that it becomes a decent store, and eventually can expand the parking area not only in size, but by telling Western Express to go park in their own parking lot at the end of the property.Personal feelings about Caseys: i don’t think this area is going to fair well with the Iowa prices they will try to get out of their merchandise. It’s always seemed so simple to me that if you lower prices, you sell more stuff and get more customers… not so with Caseys. price it high so you can hire idiots that don’t upsell, and who cares how many customers they lose… they made bank on one item. Business isn’t business anymore, it’s thievery by crooked business practices that make you as a customer, just a number, which may or may not repeat itself.Good luck Caseys.
