More than a store—Carter Vintage is a shrine. My jaw dropped the second I walked into the showroom. If you can’t play a lick to save your life (that’s me!), anyone who values music will appreciate the beauty on display within these walls. Easily one of Nashville’s most important spots.

Fun place, whether you're a musician or not. The murals are awesome!

Stop in if your in Nashville! The staff is kind. I didn't really get anything down, but the staff seemed ready to help if I had. They have a good selection and definitely keep a few pieces around that are more affordable than some of the other local spots. I ran into Zach from Mythos when I was there, and I wish I had gone up and said hey (instead I quietly fangirled in the corner lol) Worth a stop in if your interested at all in picking up vintage gear or seeing an iconic shop!

G.A.S. Heaven. Love the building. Love the merchandise. Employees are mostly super cool. Even if I didn’t live in Nashville, I would travel all the way to Nashville just to go here. The prices are NOT unreasonable for what you’re getting, and you can typically trust that you’re NOT being intentionally ripped off.

My dad was interested in picking up his dream guitar, a vintage ES-335. Noah Pelty helped us out and was great to work with. He was nice, knowledgeable, and was not pushy at all. Highly recommend talking to him if you’re in the market for a new (old) guitar.

The best place to find the perfect vintage guitar and to see guitars you would never see at the average guitar shop. They have an incredible collection here! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. You can request to plug in and play an electric in one of the sound booths as well. Due to increased tourism, they are by appointment only on weekends. They have a great YouTube channel where they feature unique/historic guitars. You can also buy picks/strings/straps etc.Favorite music shop in Nashville (or anywhere for that matter!)

Nice place! They have a great stock of interesting vintage instruments. Being a Fender fan, it was wonderful to see a 1951 No Caster hanging on the wall. Too many interesting instruments to list!

I am not a musician; in fact, I am pretty much the most tone-deaf person you can meet. However, I truly enjoy how beautiful all of these guitars look and also sound. We walked around (with zero sales pressure, but said if any questions please ask) and just looked at all the fabulous guitars, banjos and ukuleles. There were a few other customers that were test driving a few guitars and it was like my own personal little concert. I don’t know who these people were, but they sounded beautiful.

Friendly staff and overwhelming cool shop! Unfortunately, I haven’t brought home any new ‘toys’ from there yet…a must stop shop for any guitar lover!

Very cool shop! While I didn't buy anything this trip, there is such a crazy variety of guitars and equipment to see. I like that they have a mix of consignment and their own used stuff. Certainly worth a stop in!

I went here with my old friend Chuck. It is supposed to related to ma Carter. Carters is chock full of vintage guitars, banjos, mandolins and amplifiers. It really is an eye opener. Beautiful Brazilian Rosewood Martin guitars. What I really noticed was an older Gibson F5 mandolin at $95,000. If that's your passion then that's what you have to do.

We were visiting Nashville and ran into this awesome place. Our experience was truly amazing, because of the friendly and warm staff members who treated us and our two sons like friends and family. Wow, i wish everybody and every business treated customers like the staff at Carter Vintage Guitar. Also, Poncho, a staff member, was one of the greatest strangers we ever met....give Poncho a raise!! Thanks for the great experience.

This place is a must for anyone interested in vintage guitars. Their selection is epic. I got to play a couple of prewar Martins that changed how I think about acoustic guitars. Just one warning - this isn't the place to go if you're looking for a cheap used guitar. Their prices are fair, as far as I could tell, but it's definitely a high end place. That said, don't miss going there.

What an incredible place. My 2 visit there from out of town and this time I walked away with this beauty. Seth was amazing to pull this deal together and have it shipped home.
