Great place to visit with a family! We had a wonderful time and didn't want to leave

Had a great experience even before arriving! I had questions about food options, and they were promptly answered via email by Allie, who gave me a lot of information.Lots for kids of all ages to do here! My son enjoyed the tot area, which was surprisingly spacious. The other exhibits were also pretty easy for him to navigate. Gift shop was organized, and items were priced as you might expect. The only issue I had was the Subway on the second floor. It was clear the tables were no being regularly cleaned. I also noticed quite a few bugs (cockaroaches?) on the floor. Put me off my food, and we elected to finish eating outside.Ultimately, we had a good time and spent the whole day there!

Fun and different thing to do for the kids when the weather outside is not ideal, but too expensive and outdated.

Nashville deserves a better museum. This museum was dirty, outdated, and multiple exhibits were missing parts or non functioning. The whole place needs an overhaul.

This place needs some MAJOR upgrades. Most of the exhibits are from the early 2000s and a lot of them don’t work or are missing parts/pieces. The rock climbing was closed. a lot of parts of the jungle gym were closed. The windows are super dirty and need a good cleaning from the outside. And the infinity room is pretty gross as well. We spent $88 just in admission and it was mediocre at best. The solar system room was cool but the big globe in the middle didn’t even work. The planetarium movie was good. We’ve been wanting to come for years so we were super disappointed with what we got for the price. In my opinion- the Murfreesboro discovery center is WAY better.

Very busy at peak times but an awesome place to take the kids for the day. Get there early.

Needs ImprovementsThe reason this has more than two stars is because there actually were some valuable activities and we were able to spend enough time to get our money’s worth.Pros included the free science demonstration in the theater, the tinkering garage, volunteer-led activities, and the newer music exhibit where 90% of the exhibits were actually working. Also, really convenient to have the Subway there. Now the cons:We were the first to arrive and there were smudges on the glass surfaces in the play area. Seems like they didn’t clean after the last closing. The human body section of the center is outdated, dirty, missing parts, and 60% of the exhibits were out of order. One example is the uvula hanging from the ceiling. It is made with fabric and obviously used to be pink but is now greyish/blackish from dust and repeated touching. The germ game room is adjacent to the Subway and subsequently smelled like pizza/sandwiches, but not in a good way, like in a smelly arcade/bowling alley way.The rest of the second floor had many nonfunctional exhibits and missing parts as well. The lighting in many areas is dim, adding to the sketchy vibes. When we checked in with our tickets at the front desk all the greeter/ticket person said was, “Kay you’re good to go and looked off in another direction, uninterested.” Ya’ll science is cool and there’s some fun stuff to do here! The staff could really be making a difference for for the learners/explorers. When people show up to a place Iike this, best practice is to welcome them, offer them some kind of info and ask if they have any questions. There should be at least a couple staff to float around the center to be constantly supervising and offering assistance. This is the only center of its kind for miles and miles. People are traveling a great distance and are looking for a good experience they can’t get anywhere else nearby.

Lots of exhibits in disrepair or closed. The Subway is way overpriced. The noise level excessive. There are some nice things for energetic preschoolers.

It's definitely pricey for the amount of exhibits and items broken down. You can tell it hasn't been renovated in quite some time, but you're still able to spend 3 hours here. I think our favorite part was the tinkering garage (best for ages 4+). Food option was subway and it was too slow with the long line. We would give it a year and go again. Planetarium was neat.

We had such a great experience there it was great for all ages my 6 month old loved the interactive lights and sounds, my 7 year old loved the rock climbing and play gym, and I even had a blast with the roller coaster simulator. We arrived late and they were so friendly and happy to help us. Most definitely recommend you could spend the whole day there I know we did.

Cool place, great way to spend a good portion of the day with the kids, fairly reasonably priced. Not every parentis equally as aware of their children… But that’s just true anywhere you go these days. A great experience if you go when it’s not super busy.
