Walgreens in New Salem is known for its friendly and helpful staff, creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers. The store is clean, tidy, and well-organized, making shopping and services efficient. Customers appreciate the respectful and kind treatment they receive from the staff, which encourages repeat visits. The photo and document printouts are consistently ready on time, and the store staff is praised for their excellent service. However, some customers find the pharmacy hours inconvenient, especially for those with chronic illness who need timely medication refills. They suggest extending hours or having more staff on duty, particularly during busy times. The pharmacy is generally well-maintained, with low customer volume helping ensure medication availability. There are mixed feelings about the photo lab associates; some customers fondly remember the helpful younger staff, while others have had less positive experiences with certain employees. Overall, Walgreens in New Salem offers a friendly, clean, and organized shopping environment, with a strong focus on customer service.
Whatever you do don’t get tested here. It’s not worth paying $25 for the covid/ flu tests, you’re better going elsewhere or just doing it on your own.

Have been coming to this store since 2020 with no problem. However, it has declined in the last 6 months. A rx not filled and being told there was no script on file (there was) and each time I enter the store it smells strongly of cannabis.

I broke my arm and wrist 3 nights ago, but this Walgreens still has the meds prescribed by the hospital on “delayed.” Thanks for nothing, Walgreens.
