Family business and I don't know about the rest of you reading this. But I would rather do business with a local family business rather than a corporate store. They get to know you and you get to know them. Friendly people they know the best way to succeed in business is to know your customer. They have options I didn't see in other stores. I was buying the most expensive brands and to their credit they turned me on to a lesser expensive brand that is just as good if not better than the big name brand.

I just love and can't get over that they also have plants for sale! The employee working today was very helpful with both my beer and plant selection. Got 3 new plants and a six pack to enjoy in one stop, pretty sure there isn't anything better than that. I fear if they are able to massively expand both their alcohol and plant selections in the future as it would be detrimental to my wallet. (Please do it anyways, I'm only half kidding)

I called and asked did they sell Earl Stevens red wine, the guy responded, “NO”. We don’t sell that bc no one hasn’t asked for it in TEN YEARS!? What’s weird is Earl Stevens is a “NEW” wine that has been out for a couple of years now. ? I didn’t asked for Apple Jack Daniels but you put that in your store. People,? I’ll tell ya…

Reasonable prices, nice availability, but THE STAFF IS OUTSTANDING. The people that run this place are so helpful & friendly. They will go above & beyond to help you find what you want and if it’s not in stock the absolute best comparison. They keep many things refrigerated that aren’t typically purchased that way to please their customers. The store is always impeccably stocked & organized.I will drive out of my way to do business with the people at Shifty’s instead of other store when I need to make a liquor store purchase because the people here are that great!

The couple that runs this place have always been so kind and helpful. But today I had a special encounter with them, I locked my keys in my car (in the middle of a thunderstorm no less) and these kind souls didn't hesitate to help immediately. The lady came out with a bamboo stick with a hook on the end like it wasn't her first rodeo, and stood out in the rain with me to make sure I got it unlocked safely. (I DID! ?) These two are the genuine "give you the shirt off their back" kind of people that make me proud to live in Tennessee. I will never shop at another liquor store again. Thank you guys.
