These people are so rude. Even volunteering, the lady was so self centered and just kept talking about herself. While serving the residents food. It would always be a comment about herself. Some of my family members also tried to apply to this location and they were so rude about it. Had an attitude and said, "We are full. We are not taking applications. Bye."I thought so highly of Salvation Army until these past two weeks. Why work at a place where people are trying to get back up on their feet after a major life event when you are going to be judgemental and have an attitude. Sure makes you feel welcomed. Not.Also, seeing all the bad reviews saying how disrespectful the staff are and going through the same thing my family members went through. And not replys back. Shows that they do not care to improve or better the situation.

I have a friend housed in this organization and the stories i'm being told is heart breaking. Being denied food, being accused of flirting with the woman housed there, being locked out, unclean environment, who is in charge of checking the people who work here? This is sad ? to hear when those whom need assistance are treated with disrespect since they seek to better themselves. I think ? there needs to be someone to look into these issues so this location can enrich those who really need assistance with a more positive environment.

Me and my husband are homeless. We went and was gonna stay over night until they opened Monday so we could try and get some help. They came outside and told us to get off their property or they were calling the police. And I told them we were new to Tennessee and just moved here and didn't have anywhere to go. They still called the police on me and my husband. The salvation army is supposed to help people. Not call the police on them. We weren't doing anything. We just needed help.

They treat the mens dorm as if it were a jail. There’s no help from the case managers and instead all you get is judgemental gossipy people. God help you if you get a woman named Sandra as one. They claim to be a church that accepts you for who you are but that’s just not true unless you’re in the family unit. There’s a bias towards families and women here. And it’s a shame that this is the only place in town that’s a mens shelter. Because I was treated less like a person and more like a convict.

They are awesome. Not so complicated to get the help you need from them like some other places I have been when in need for food, clothing, help with financial, any bill, Christmas help, a place to stay, work and most important, prayer when you need it for those that may be lost. And who better to call on than Jesus. I pray more blessings over this business right know. Lord thank you for allowing me to be connected to this business to be able to share to others how good they are.

There a strange behaviors that take place here with staff, I was forbidden to lock my room being I was the only woman in the room and on the hall right by men who wonder the hall at night talking to the staff on duty who was suppose to be in front of my door. They act liked they wanted to help but I didn't receive any all that really wanted was my information my story. Messy gossipy people will thrive here

Love the help they give people. I really wasn't aware of everything they did to help people.

All the case managers here are Islamophobic and racist, but then again, what did I expect from this place?

I have never been so disrespectful or disrespected as I was tonight. Threatened with trespassing, denied food and teased. A black woman of the administration is the person of interest. This woman teases me with an opening in the shelter and then tonight threatens to call the police and have my dog taken away from me. A homeless black man knocks food out of my hands and denies me to eat, I'm homeless myself. All of this over some water that I filled my jug up with. This is not right to treat others this way. I am not pleased with how this turned out tonight. It took everything I had to hold back and not put someone in the hospital and go to jail for it, and lose my dog anyway. My dog is who keeps me in check not people. Some people need to understand that and be a little more understanding about others. If my dog was not present, I do not know what I would do.
