Top notch service and great group of people. If you have an import European or Asian there is no reason to look elsewhere in Middle Tennessee.

I just got an email asking me to leave a review for Rays. I went there about 7 years ago, but their service was memorable. I went to Toyota of Murfreesboro for a catalytic converter recall, and they tried to force me to agree to over $5000 of work over a small oil leak. I had never seen a drop under the truck. I took it to Rays and they found that the Toyota tech had damaged my oil pressure sensor! They replaced it in one day for $150

STEER CLEAR GEORGE WILL RIP OFF UPDATE : got back in town decided to drive the car. It wouldn’t start. Crank sensor codes. This is the sensor rays charged 198 for and 515 for labor. The sensor is continental and the part number he supplied didn’t match up with the part number on the part. I asked George not to get over on me and he did. I didn’t plan on leaving a review at all but I’d like to share my experience with rays. So I had my 2010 328i towed on may 23. I spoke to George (the owner and I recorded each phone call with him) before hand and told him the car cranks but doesn’t start and I believe it was a fuel issue, I explained to him it was a toy( it still had open headers cause I was waiting for my exhaust guy to finish ) for me I planned on taking to Clarksville and sliding around the track and I didn’t want to waste any more money at just throwing parts at it. I just need a diagnosis on the crank no start. Well he called me back may 30 and said we are finishing up diag and pinning out the EKP because it does look to be a fuel issue and my total is 560 and some change. Ok cool. I can deal with that. He calls me back June the 12th and says oh we replaced your crank sensor and now we have spark. (I never got a call about the crank sensor, never seen in the techs notes that the car wasn’t getting spark, ) So not sure how the car didn’t have spark when it had spark when I dropped it off to him because I checked each plug and coil pack looking for my issue and found it was not getting fuel. (And that didn’t take me 3 hours like it did his tech and like my bill stated) But then on top of that my bill is 1380.00. So of course I was shocked at first, a crank sensor that I had already replaced ? had been replaced again and finding out my car that had spark some how magically didn’t have spark at his shop? He decided to work with me on the price and dropped it to 880. I guess that’s fine. But what really got me is he stated my (Chinese brand ) fuel pump needed to be replaced (again), EKP module needed to be replaced, and my fuel sender filter assembly, and the fuel pump lock ring and fuel sender seal and all that would be 2356. I only paid 750 for this car at auction. I figured it would need some sorting out. But none the less I wanted a second opinion. So I did what any body would do and sent to the car GPO of Nashville. George says Chinese parts are not reliable and won’t work on BMW’s. He preached this to me. Said my Chinese fuel pump and crank sensor wouldn’t work for the car. GPO got my car yesterday at June 17th at 1 o clock. Gpo called me back this morning and said the only thing my car needed was a EKP module. They did the work for 680. And now my car runs. George claimed he wasn’t out to get me but I believe GPO proved he was. So with rays I spent 880 and nothing changed my car still wouldn’t run and they had it 2 and half weeks replaced a crank sensor with out my approval and I’m sure the sensor was fine, (so does Shaun at GPO he says that’s a common part a company will change to charge you and convince you is bad) GPO had it for less than 24 hours and solved my issue and the car runs. It’s bad business on George’s part because he stated it needed smore and I’m WAITING for his smart reply to this review like he does to every other HONEST REVIEW so I can send him the invoice from GPO to show him he was in the wrong and was indeed out to get me for what he could. This is not defamation or slander but a brutally blunt and honest review and a warning to all new customers. If you have money to throw out and get everything replaced by oe parts which George preaches about run here with your check book but be ready to replace parts your car probably didn’t need in the first place. Read the bad reviews on this place before you just jump to the good ones. I’m not the first person George has done this too and I’m sure I won’t be the last. The fact that rays has been open this long just leads me to believe the bills are paid by ripping customers a new one. GPO sent me this pic of the sensor they left unplugged

I’ve brought my vehicle to Ray’s Auto Imports a few times. They rewired my ignition, did a tune up, replaced my ecm and a few other things. They kept me updated in terms of the process, payment, and things needed to complete the job. They are very professional and I would bring my car back in a heartbeat. Also living in the clarksville area and making that commute back and forth is worth it. I wouldn’t take my vehicle/vehicles any where else !! Christian was my mechanic and he did a great job, car left clean and came back clean as well ! I appreciate the hard work and dedication they put into their jobs. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND !!!! Thank you guys for doing such a great job.

I recently brought my vehicle to Ray's Import Auto Repair after a routine oil change at a local dealership ended with a surprise repair quote of $7,000-$15,000. The team at Ray's thoroughly inspected my car and saved me from unnecessary expenses and provided me with peace of mind. Their honesty and professionalism were evident throughout the process. I'll continue bringing my vehicle to Ray's and highly recommend their trustworthy service!

My wife and I had a three year old Honda CRV with a blown engine. The car was a lease so we were pigeon-holed to have it fixed before we returned it to Honda next month. I called Ray’s import auto repair and talk to George. He assured me that he would take care of us, and that he did in spades! The car actually runs better than it has before, and we are now contemplating keeping it. Kudos to George and his team for helping us out in such a stressful time. If you need any repairs for your imported car, George at Ray’s Imports auto cannot be beat! Thanks George!

I'm not sure what happened but my power steering system got filled with metal shavings. The rack and the reservoir with a built-in filter needed to be replaced. I'm highly satisfied with the car repair.

I brought my 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage here for a loud growling noise coming from the front end. It sounded like it might be a wheel bearing. After paying a $188 diagnostics fee, they inspected the axle and wheels and found no noticeable issue there. They advised it was 80% most likely the CVT transmission going bad and wanted over $700 to drop the transmission pan to diagnose it. Transmission replacement would have been $4000. No way!! I refused the service. I was prepared to replace the car. As a last effort, I took the car to a local transmission shop (Colman-Taylor) who offered to diagnose the transmission for free by not opening the transmission pan. They quickly discovered in plain sight the exhaust had merely come off its bracket under the engine and was causing the noise. They reattached it and didn't charge me a dime. Problem solved. The guys at Ray's were very nice to deal with, but i would probably not go back. This was a complete oversight and an easy fix they missed. It almost cost me the car.

Rays always delivers a professional experience. The repair costs are much more reasonable than the dealer. They accurately predicted the length of the repair. I especially appreciated the ride home and back to pick up my car. Family members were out of town and I was in a tough spot. Thank you
