This place is horrible. I've been here for 2 years and thats 2 years too long. They have called me 4 timed in 2 years to cancel and reschedule. I've only seen my actual doctor 1 time. I had similar issues with my sons pediatrician. My advice is to find someone who does not work for MMC.

It is impossible to get into your doctor for anything but your annual. It's impossible to even get into the nurse. The doctor at my visit didn't seem to care that I have lost weight. That I have through process of elimination because I can't get in that I have an allergy or intolerance. She didn't care. I had to request it be added to my chart. I went to the walk in once and was told I should be seeing my primary. The physician and or nurse never sent down my lab orders so blood was taken for no reason. The doctor's office blame the lab. The lab blamed me saying I never showed that day. Then found out the real reason the order was never sent down. Went down to have blood drawn again. Ask the lab to confirm that there was an order for it. Got an attitude from the lab tech. She got very defensive about it. Stating that it wasn't their fault. I agreed it wasn't the lab's fault that it was the doctor and the nurse. The lab tech continued to give me attitude the entire time she drew my blood. I will have to wait weeks to get the results loaded into the portal. Highly doubt the nurse will call me about them. If she does she's going to request that I come in for a second visit I bet. When this was supposed to be done before the annual and then I will have to now pay to go see them.Filed a complaint and no one reached out. No surprised though.

Good luck trying to become a patient here. I’ve been calling daily since May 11th only to get the generic, “we’re experiencing a high volume of calls.” Pitiful! This must be a sign.

Rude receptionist! I needed myMedication prescription renewed...had been waiting and waiting for them to call the pharmacy, she seemed very put out by my request. Good customer service goes a long way. This place doesn't have it!

I wish I could give 0 stars. This place is horrible. My doctor is no longer with MMC. My appointments were canceled, they rescheduled appointment with a nurse without my consent, that I could not make, I had to cancel. They did not allocate me to another doctor and assist me with rescheduling. I realize today that my refills were out of my current medication, that I’ve been on for over a year. I call to ask for refills, they said that I need to be seen, but they can’t see me for almost 3 months. They refused to fill this medication because the new doctor “didn’t know me”, regardless of the fact that they’re my primary care practice who I’ve gone to for years. They were nasty to me, they acted like I was asking for some sort of hardcore habit forming medication, when it’s just a maintenance medication. Completely negligent to withhold medication, withhold healthcare and to have a “sorry bout it” attitude, offering zero solutions. Trash. Thank God for my OBGYN who urgently corrected this negligence.

My time at MMC has been amazing but each time I try to reach out to internal and family medicine to get a primary doctor. The staff answer the phone have such an attitude. I am switching doctors offices all together and finding somewhere else to go. I do hope the staff can start being nicer and treating patients right, because I know it is not just me having this issue, and that says a lot.

I have been a part of the MMC patient family for very long time. Mostly under the care of MMC’s nurse practitioners. I have always valued MMC and trusted their medical staff with my health and care. Tuesday August 2nd 2022- I went into the Internal Medicine clinic on Garrison Drive for an establishing appointment with Dr. Chloe L. Desnoes, OD. I had a severe sore throat and light cough at the time but tested negative for both Covid and Strep ( I was hospitalized with Covid in January for the better part of three weeks with lots of complications including Pneumonia and a P.E) I was told if I started to feel worse to call the doctor back. I explained to her my leave options at work but we both agreed at that visit I would probably be just fine without missing work. I work was a customer service representative for a telecommunications company where I talk on the phone 8 to 10 hours a day. Wednesday I woke up with a fever, worsening cough, still having the sore throat but this time I had lost my voice altogether. I called the office back leaving a message for Dr. Desnoes’ nurse Amy about my worsening condition requesting that the doctor fill out necessary paperwork for me to be off of work as I could not speak and was feeling horrible. Amy called me back not only having a snarky attitude but told me “The doctor can’t take you out for an Illegitimate reason “. I felt hurt by the medical care professionals that I trusted with my care for so long. In my response to Amy - advocating for my healthcare needs I told Amy that IF I had to find a different primary care provider that I would. Later that night I had to go to the urgent care where I was diagnosed with scarring of the lungs and Pneumonia. Today I called MMC Internal Medicine again to update them on my condition and again to request leave from work. I was met with distaste and condescension- Was Informed that all of my appointments with Dr. Desnoes had been cancel because “ You fired her yesterday remember “ I tried to explain that the miscommunication that I had was with Amy the nurse not the doctor at all. I was not in anyway trying to end my care with the doctor that I had just established with on Tuesday so. I was made to feel like I did something wrong when all I was trying to do was advocate for my own healthcare. In my many communications with the front office staff, I was told it was OK to switch providers while they currently don’t have any excepting new patients just periodically call back because there wasn’t a specific time on when doctors would be accepting new patients or transfer patients. However, The supervisor made sure to call me twice to let me know I cannot longer continue care at Murfreesboro medical clinic because no one would be accepting patients for six months. All from a miscommunication with a nurse that had a bad day my care neglected. I will never refer anyone else to the MMC internal medicine clinic again.

I have been a patient since this was MT Family Medicine and it was great. Since it’s become MMC it’s like I can’t be seen for anything, everything is sent out to a specialist, medication that I rely on is being “phased out” and I now have to see someone else for it, you can barely get them to pick up the phone. When I reached out to the specialist (that insurance doesn’t cover) they told me they’ve been hearing from basically exclusively MMC patients. So now I have lost almost all faith, and am literally panicking because I don’t know if I will be able to afford to go to a doctor and get the medicine I need. Way to go MMC.

My doctor is nice...Just be aware, if you need to be seen for anything resembling Covid, they will refuse to see you ? I've been sick with a bad cough, sore throat and they refused to see me even though I took 3 negative Covid tests. Went to a walk in and got diagnosed with bronchitis and couldn't get the meds my normal doctor would have given. Frustrating. Not everything is Covid! Pretty bad you can't go to your regular doctor for a cough these days

I just tried to schedule an appointment with this Dr. Desnoes to establish being a new patient. I was told her next available appointment for new patients is April 18, 2023. That is purely ridiculous. I just moved here and needed a doctor. I am utterly disappointed ? How is it that she has no availability until 11 months from now? And the receptionist wasn't helpful either. She didn't even recommend another doctor. 0 stars to MMC all around.

Used to be a good place but now the customer service has gone in the toilet. They can't seem to find any competent people to figure out billing. The worst part is when you call to correct their mistakes they give you attitude like it's your fault and your an inconvenience to them. Even spoke with "management" and they had the same attitude. My advice would be to find care elsewhere
