This Kroger store has gone from bad to worse. I have been shopping here for the past several years because it is conveniently located, but it is never a pleasant experience. I’m giving two stars in this review because I do find what I’m looking for most of the time. However, there are many times that the food I want to buy is past its date. For example, I was recently shopping for yogurt, and I saw some yogurt on the shelf that was three months past the best-by date. This kind of thing happens here occasionally, but it should never happen. Another issue is that the store does not have a neat and clean appearance – it has quite the opposite. The grocery carts at the store entrance almost always have trash in and around them. The antibacterial wipe dispenser at the entrance is almost always empty.
Today, I was disappointed in the meat selection, so I drove to Publix after leaving Kroger, and the difference in the two grocery stores was like night and day. The cleanliness of the Publix store and the friendliness and professionalism of the employees make Publix live up to their motto: “Where shopping is a pleasure.” It would be so nice if Publix would replace this Kroger, or if this Kroger would receive an overhaul and become a much more pleasant place to shop. They are currently making changes inside this Kroger, and they have moved many of the products from their usual aisles to other areas, but they have not provided signage to help customers find the products. Overall, a pretty frustrating experience to shop there, for so many reasons. It is obvious that this store does not attempt to be shopper-friendly. In fact, sometimes the experience is so unpleasant (often compounded by annoying music) that I can’t get out of there fast enough. I am hoping that the changes happening inside the store signify that the store is trying to improve and hopefully getting under better management.

Brandi and her team in the Bakery = 5 stars! Needed a graduation cake with not much prior notice. She cared for all the details, coordinated a cake designer and all. The cake and cupcakes turned out exceptional, and price couldn't be beat! Thank you, Brandi! It's so hard to find this level of customer service these days. Greatly appreciated!!!

I give a 2 star instead of 1, because I don't want to stop going there, even though I agree with some of the people that it could be better, with staffing, and cleanliness, but my problem is with my debit card not working in self check out, it is new, it is clean, and I am very careful to put the pin in correctly, and I plenty of funds. It doesn't decline my card, it reads malfunction, I got gas, 15 minutes later inside, it wouldn't take my card, I'm the same person, the same card. I had the same problem last year, so the Bank got me this card, and I'm still having this problem, it has to be the machine in self checkout. Today I had to pay cash, because of this, I went to the bank, and checked my card and it worked fine. It is your machine Kroger, they are wearing out or need to be re calibrated. I had the bank to order me yet another card today, just to make sure it isn't on my end, but I'm rather sure, it is your machine.

I enjoy shopping at Kroger. I'd recommend a Kroger Plus membership and a Boost subscription. I save a TON on gas just buying my normal groceries, and the prices are extremely competitive. In my opinion, it's a much better shopping experience then other big box stores.

Commercials talk about how they have already daily low pricing. I strongly disagree. This is the most expensive grocery store I’ve ever walked into and just think a few years ago I was telling my wife we need a Kroger in Manchester boy was I wrong

This Kroger is actually closer to my house, but I refuse to go there. I instead only go to the location on Memorial. The Georgetown Kroger is successfully staffed with folks who are rude and make no effort to hide their great disdain for their job there. And that is only if you can tear them away from staring at their phones. The deli staff is probably the worst. Had a woman actually roll her eyes and sigh heavily when she saw she had customers. I have complained about the awful employee attitudes to management several times. Nothing has changed. Amazing, but true.

Kroger needs to get on the Ball with the registers not being open.I do not use self check out since this takes a job away from a person needing a job. This has happened a few times. We can go to another store to buy groceries.
