We've actually been using this place for several years without too much issue for boarding/grooming services. There was one boarding incident where 1 of our 2 dogs came back with a ton of scabs on his back, but did not get any clarification on that issue.
However, yesterday we took our two Brittany's in for a walk-in nail trim. While we were waiting, I witnessed D (just using her first initial) leave a dog unattended on the grooming table. For clarification, these grooming tables are raised a good distance from the ground, and the dog is only secured by a cord around their necks. When she got to our second dog, she immediately clipped a huge chunk of one of his nails off, which caused a TON of bleeding (the quick was not knicked, it was cut into very badly). She then proceeded to leave him unattended to look for additional supplies. He started to twist around with the cord around his neck and proceeded to fall off the table. He was literally hanging by his neck. This could have ended very badly (crushed windpipe, broken neck, death). Best case scenario, D has a lack of common sense practices/ignorance and worst case, a sense of indifference to her job. Either way, I doubt this was the first instance of something like this, as my dog was second in a row she left by itself on the table. I don't really leave reviews, but in this case people should be informed about the environment they are leaving their pets in.
People love their animals and pay good money for these services. When the level of care and respect you are paying for is not given, it's infuriating. Makes me wonder what happens when the customer is not around to watch.

The staff at Doggie’s Day Out love and take such good care of my dog during daycare, boarding, and grooming. He loves going there!

We had our dogs bathed at Doggie's Day Out for the first time today. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the dogs look and feel great!Update 2024: Doggie's Day Out has now become our regular groomer. I've been going to Doggie's Day Out for about 6 groomings and a couple baths. I have 2 sizable Bernedoodles. I love the quality of their grooms, they always do as I request on their cuts. The dogs seem to really like the groomers too, they always leave very happy ? I appreciate the professionalism here - the customer service is great, and it's helpful that they have desk staff at all times. They quote accurate times of when the dogs will be done, and they have nice large spaces for the dogs after they're done and waiting. This is the 5th groomer we've used in my dogs' almost 3 years of life, and I'd say it's the perfect fit! Oh, and I think the pricing is reasonable compared to others - 2 dogs with full grooms every 6 weeks is expensive no matter what, but Doggie's Day Out does not seem to gouge on their prices like some of the others in town.

Edit: I am leaving my original review below because I want to make it known that I was a happy customer here for some time. 5 years to be exact. For almost a year now, the staff does not pick up the phone OR call you back. I have left voicemails in the past and received nothing back. It was a running joke in our house that they only wanted to talk to my husband, as they would answer his number almost immediately every time.My husband tried to drop off our dogs recently and no one came to the door… he heard “laughing and messing around” but he was sitting there waiting for a while. He finally walked over to the other building and asked for help. Stuff happens, but we had a scheduled time to be there and that was just unprofessional. At our last appointment I went to reschedule and I was told they would “probably no longer be taking Saturday appointments”. She offered me no solution/other dates, so I asked for another option. She then gave me weekday options, but didn’t seem to care. Unfortunately, like most people, I have a job and can not drop my dogs off at 9am. Of course, it is not a requirement for them to be open on weekends, but she just did not seem to care less…. I let her know that I would have to seek a groomer elsewhere.I know the pricing has gone up a few times, and it is frustrating as a consumer though I also understand that employees are expecting more. My main frustration, though, is that we are paying more to get treated like no one cares that we are there and they can’t be bothered to help.At this point, I just can’t leave my 5 star raving review about this business. I never want to hurt a business owner and I know reviews mean a lot… but I have to be honest about our experience. I shouldn’t have to pry help out of employees to schedule an appointment when that is the basis of your entire business. I hope things can improve, but I am not sticking around to find out.……………………I’ve taken one of my dogs to several groomers in Murfreesboro. From experience, go here. My dog was extremely traumatized at another place and still gets a bit nervous. But let me tell you, ever since we switched here, he comes back happy (with a GREAT cut every time). We’ve started taking our other dog here, and she thinks it’s the most exciting trip ever. I seriously am so happy to recommend this business

Great business! It’s hard to find groomers who aren’t skeptical of pittys. It was reassuring to see them treat him like the big baby he is.

Took my 2 pups to get a "mini groom". Was told they would trim the face, paws, hygeine areas, and shape up eyebrows. It took a few minutes to even see a difference. Looks like a trim between the eyebrows. They did bathe them and trim the nails. But for 65 each, I am highly disappointed. Would not recommend. Will not be back. People seemed friendly. For some reason Google isn't allowing me to post a before and after.

I’m usually quite pleased with the cut my terrier mix receives, but this time wasn’t great. His whiskers were shaved, ears left long and was a nick on the side of his neck- he was completely gun shy for about a week after his visit.
