I came back here today after my dog came here for an emergency the week prior. Our first visit wasn't bad and she was experiencing similar issues today so I thought it would be good to come back since they knew the problem. I brought my dog in and she was in pain the entire wait and crying to me. I know they could hear her because multiple times people said they were sorry. We proceeded to wait for 2 hours until we finally got taken back. When we were brought back they didn't seem concerned about her at all and proceeded to tell me all these tests they could do to find out what was wrong even though the vet also said she seemed fine. I wanted to clarify what her standing was on what she thought it was or what I could do for her and she told me she didn't know. I felt like no one in this building cared for us at all our entire 3 hours. I wasted my entire afternoon and only left with more questions and crying because I have no idea how to help my dog who is still in pain. I would not recommend this vet and I will likely never return.

The doctors are so caring and respectful. I don't feel like they are trying to upsell or overcharge me like other vet practices. My dog needed a procedure after I had been out of work for 3 months amd money was very tight, and they offered a full spectrum of treatment options instead of "pet parent shaming" me for not choosing the top of the line, latest and greatest treatment. Together, we chose a viable, less invasive and less expensive option, and they treated my furry boy and me with kindness and respect. They are my new vet's office of choice!

if I could give negative stars I would. when I visited months ago they told me then that my dog's life was in danger, and they sent us to the ER vet, where he died. yet today they sent me an email wishing him a happy birthday. why would anyone ever do that when they served a pet whose life was in danger? shows they don't care about anyone or anything. absolute jerks

I made an appt. for my dog with Dr. Heathcock. When I went to the appt., I waited 45 mins., then was taken to a room and was told another vet would be seeing my dog. When I said I had made an appt. with Dr. Heathcock, the vet tech told me "we have a lot of vets. You'll take who you can get". She was unkind and didn't give a damn about my dog or me. I left the appt. and won't ever go back!

As former employee at Animal Medical Center, the management is horrible and you should avoid spending you money here. I have worked here for the past 2 years and met some lovely doctors and assistants who really care about the animals there. The reason the amazing people here are being held back is because of management. The office administrator, she never really gave anyone a clear detail about what she actually does, ONLY CARES ABOUT THE MONEY. There have been plenty of times where she would want us to pre judge clients whenever they came in if they would be able to pay their bill or not. This of course is sickening. I and many staff at animal medical center love what we do and what the best for your pets, but the corporate greed from the office administrator, Leisa, is very prevalent.

Go somewhere else if you can!!! My dog Lucy wasn't feeling well Friday morning. I called and took her in around 9:30am. The vet couldn't tell what was wrong with Lucy and just wanted to give Lucy pain medicine. I spent $120 and my dog was still sick. My sister suggested us to get a second opinion and we took Lucy to VCA and they did blood test and X ray and suggested that Lucy could possibly has meningoencephalitis.

I took my 10 year old border collie cross in on a Wednesday. The vet, Dr. Heithcock thought he possibly had a virus and or allergies. He was coughing for about a week. He was sick, whatever it was. She gave him vaccines and a heartworm preventative shot. I should have thought more about it, but she seemed non plussed about whatever it was. $460. She listened to his lungs but I don't remember her looking at a clock to check his heart rate and respiration rate. The next day, I called because it seemed like his respiration rate was faster. It was four times as fast as it should have been. So, I called to talk to her. They said she wasn't in. I said could you look at her notes to see what his vitals were. She didn't put any notes in the system. I asked for a doctor to call me back. No call. I called again later. Again, no call. So, I took him to another vet, who asked if they had offered to or had taken an xray. I said no. She did and he was riddled with cancer. She said she didn't know how long he would live and gave him steroids and an antibiotic. They did no good at all. He died in my kitchen 48 hours later. Some lessons: 1) Do not give a sick animal vaccines or heart worm preventative. It just adds more stress to the immune system. And hundreds of dollars wasted. 2) After spending almost $700 on two dogs that day, I think I deserved a call back. Nothing. I called again to tell them the dog had died and I just wanted to have conversation and wanted a credit for the heart worm prevention shot. $160. Again, nothing. Vets, doctors, etc., make mistakes. They are human, just like everyone else. The other vet, Blue Pearl and the funeral home where I had him cremated all sent sympathy cards. AMC- Nothing. Very sad all the way around.

Don't ask for a shot on the weekend. They will charge you close to $500 dollars for an emergency shot, even if it's routine. The vaccines are all double the price too! Don't go here. Very rude phone staff as well. Will make sure referral source knows not to send anyone else their business. They will probably lose tons of business. There is no reason to be so rude to customers.

I've used this animal medical center on at least three or so separate occasions and various times of day ranging from day to middle of the night. They have provided me emergency services on 3 different pets. They are open 24/7 and can usually accommodate pets (not always) for emergency situations. Prices are reasonable and they provide upfront estimates. Call in advance prior to coming because they can be packed and the wait can exceed 4-5 hours or more. And while I hope to not have to return, I will should my pets need emergency care.

I came because our cat was very sick and needed emergency help. Our vet couldn't see her and recommended to come here. When I arrived I was the only one here. We have been waiting now for over an hour and have been ignored while non emergency appointments have been seen. Is this not an emergency clinic?!?

Went in to get a third round of kitten vaccines, and when I went to check out, I was charged over a hundred dollars for the shot. I questioned the price and the individual, who was not even working at the time, she was visiting the practice or was with someone who was waiting on a pet checked me out was rude. I have no other complaints during this visit, but the time before, my dog was given her rabies shot in the waiting room. No going over her to see if she had any other issues, but I digress. Looking for a new vet..

Such wonderful compassionate care of my little dog and very warm and kind consideration for Pet Owners! Especially during the very difficult times. Thank you to the kind fellow who asked if I need help on Monday evening. I couldn't talk. Thank you for your kindness, all of you. Even other Pet Parents stepped up....to help me pay my Bill. I WILL be paying it forward to others. God Bless you all. 5 Stars!!

I have brought my pets here under emergency situations a number of times. Always getting great service. After getting unsatisfactory service at my long time regular vet I switched to one closer to my home. After being told to come in to that one then “we can’t do anything now, it’s to late in the day”, I took my dog to AMC, where they treated, they showed compassion, urgency and gave us all the options. It was then I decided that this would be the last time they were going to be for emergencies only. They are now going to be my regular normal visit vet. I cannot say enough good things about the doctors and staff. My 5 fur children will be regular visitors to this place. Thank you, thank you thank you.
