The BEST place to find your dress in the Middle Tennessee area. My mom and I went to many different stores to find a prom dress for myself the past 2 years just to see the variety and options, but both years, we found the perfect dress at Britt's. Not only is their selection fantastic, but one thing I noticed is they have a very positive staff that is very attentive. Other stores across the area made me feel like I was their last priority or even told me I was a plus size, then left me in the dust to fend for myself when picking out a dress. At Britt's they do not make you feel this way. They make sure to make you feel like a princess when trying on dresses, no matter your size. If you are in need of a prom dress, GO. TO. BRITT'S.

It was a week before my 'special day' and I had barely thought about what cake to get, let alone what I would wear or what I would look like. The time had come to figure these things out, "last minute" some would call it. But I was hardly stressed as I had already made an appointment with the best bridal shop and boutique around- Britt's Bridal, located in Columbia, TN. A.K.A- Mule Town, this is where it begins. I have never personally saw a mule while driving around the streets of historic Columbia. Excluding of course the annual Mule day parade that is held in celebration of the city's rich agricultural history. This day however, would be quite different. It was around 4:23 PM as I turned onto South Main Street for my appointment with Brittney at Britt's Bridal at 4:30 PM. My appointment was for a facial service and a styling consultation, in which I was in dire need of. Knowing the store closed at 5:00 PM, I was aware I had little time to lose, that's when it happened- a mule suddenly ran on to the road in front of my vehicle! This mule was taller than most, with four long, dark brown legs, a big body and head of the same color, with two light brown markings on its face just above the nose. Just when the mule was in the middle of the road, it realized there was a vehicle approaching very quickly right towards it. Startled, the mule suddenly reared up on its two strong back legs, giving me the opportunity to quickly swerve my vehicle in order to avoid colliding with the animal. While I was successful in avoiding the collision with the Mule, I failed to notice the ditch that I would soon be acquainted with. The ride into the ditch went smoothly, until my vehicle was met with the telephone pole that was on the opposite end of the ditch. It was at this point that everything went black. When I came to, I glanced at the car radio that was still illuminated showing the current time: 4:58 PM. Britt's would be closing soon I thought, when I realized the ordeal with the mule still had not been sorted, let alone the condition of my vehicle. I exited the crashed car to take a look around, I noticed prints in the mud directly to the left of my vehicle, they were hoof prints no doubt. I followed the tracks down the road until it led to a familiar store- Britt's Bridal. The hoof prints led around the right side of the two-story plantation style house that served as an excellent location for a bridal store boutique. I quickly followed the hoof prints around to the backside of the house. As I entered the backyard, I noticed a large back deck attached to the house, with a large, lush grass filled backyard outlined by a chain link fence on two sides. The yard ended with stone as it led to the adjacent property, with some trees that partially blocked my view of the remaining terrain. As I walked along the fence towards the trees, I suddenly heard a noise coming from behind the trees. Sounds of an animal eating grass- it must be the mule! I walked around the trees to find exactly what I was looking for, the lost mule eating some fresh clover. I approached the mule slowly, making it aware of my presence by talking softly. Using my belt as a makeshift lead, I led the mule back towards the store. I found a small rope laying outside the front of the store that I used to secure the mule to the front porch of the store. To my surprise, there was a man walking frantically down the street, appearing to be searching for something. I quickly recognized the gentlemen, it was my old friend, Nicholas Brock. Nicholas owned a small mule farm not far out of town and explained to me that he was practicing for next years Mule Day parade by riding this mule downtown, when it got spooked by a rooster who had a rather loud crow. He thanked me for recovering his prized mule, and offered me another mule for the damages to my vehicle, a deal I could not refuse. After Nicholas left, I quickly looked down at my watch- 5:20 PM, I was too late for my appointment! Just as I began to feel sad, I heard the door of the s
