Shiloh was recommended to me by my brother as I was having some issues with my Tele staying in tune. He told me James is one of the best set up guys around. He concentrated on my problem and he found a few contributing issues and fixed them. I had given up hope on it ever playing good but it is heaven now. If you need a fantastic setup on your guitar take it to James. You won’t regret it at all. Very knowledgeable on guitar setups. I don’t live in Tennessee but the service I’ve gotten from them the times I’ve been there I will stop in and visit anytime I am close by.

Seen the family on family feud on TV, just wanted to see if the store was still there. Native Tennesseans are a rare thing in this day from all the carpetbaggers that come here now. Good to see the store still going

These guys are the best. I've both bought some nice guitars here and had them work on others. Prices are fair and reasonable. Staff is very helpful. James is one of the best setup guys around. Try them out. You won't regret it!

I had a somewhat difficult acoustic guitar pickup installation, replacing an old cut-out onboard preamp and pickup with a new one. The replacement required modifying the guitar at the preamp site. James and Jay went out of their way to design a fit that looks good, and the replacement works like a champ.

They helped restring several old guitar I had. Fixed my daughters guitar. Fair rate for quality service. Have been and will continue being a customer for years to come. They don't seemed bothered to answer questions. And often will go in great detail.

JAMES! The man, the myth, the legend. This place was highly recommended by my bass player after a really bad experience with guitar set up and wiring debacle at another place. I didn’t even know this place was here. I want to start by saying, this man, James - listennnnns. He makes suggestions. He lets you know where the possibilities and boundaries are with what you are trying to accomplish with your guitar set up. In 35 yrs of playing (and never really understanding the ins and outs of pickup wiring, switches and pots, etc) I have learned more than I ever thought I would know - and am enjoying a custom set up perfectly taylored for my current playing and future ambitions - in just a few weeks. Parts are scarce, people are busy, but pure customer care (and workarounds and any path to achieve the desired result) and HUMILITY is alive and well at Shiloh Music. These guys are a joy to be around, share thoughts with, and earned my complete trust even in just the first visit. I now have 3 rehabilitated guitars, and a gazillion options for tones and flexibility all because somebody cared enough to take a minute and figure it out, not to mention the education I received in the process. 11/10 recommend. I’ll never go anywhere else.Sincerely - the guy who always talks too much and asks too many questions and probably drove you guys nuts.THANK YOU

I took my guitar to Shiloh to be rewired. The guitar tech did not complete the work after three and a half months. He did not call me a single time throughout that time period. I had to call every few weeks for an update.I was told for nearly two months that they were waiting on a switch that was backordered from their vendor. I was able to order the switch online that was needed and have it delivered within 24 hours. When I brought that switch to them on a Friday, I was told that the guitar "should be done early next week." I had not received a call by the next Friday. The tech told me he had not touched the guitar in that time. I decided to retrieve the guitar to have the work done elsewhere.When I came to pick up my unfinished guitar, they failed to return original parts (a switch and screws) that came with the guitar.After nearly four months, I'm left with missing parts, an unfinished guitar, and a lot of wasted time. I used to recommend Shiloh to others, but this experience has ensured that I'll never visit the store again. I strongly recommend that you find another repair shop if you want your work to actually get finished.

I’m over dealing with the big box stores. I bought one of my first guitars over 30 years ago from Shiloh music and bought another one yesterday when I was back in town. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. They have the largest collection of PRS guitars from entry level to top of the line customs I’ve ever seen. (Among other brands as well). It’s always better to deal with a family owned company. I highly recommend!
