The school is outstanding, the staff is well trained and loving and multiple teachers have been employed here for many years which says a lot. the place is clean even in the Time of Covid when parents are typically greeted only at the door. As a recently former employee as well as someone whose child attended, I can personally vouch that this school is clean and the love and care given each child is exceptional. I loved my time there and it is a phenomenal school. If you are seeking a truly Montessori experience for you child this is the place for you. Your child will be lovingly guided and you can have peace knowing they are safe and treated with respect in a clean environment. This school is also very careful about Covid protocols while doing everything possible to avoid closures so you can keep working. I just can’t say enough good about this place.

I’m not going to be long winded about our experiences but I will say that organization and communication is severely lacking at this school. We were extremely disappointed in all aspects. I’ll give just one example, our 3 year old cried several times after I picked him up because he had an empty water cup and was EXTREMELY thirsty. I addressed the issue with someone, a staff or volunteer member maybe, I had never seen them before. This person insisted that every child is given water when they want. They didn’t listen to me and didn’t even ask one of his regular teachers about this, it was horrible to experience this especially in front of my child who’s upset. I believe him. There were many other issues that just didn’t sit right with me so, even though I paid for a full summer session, I pulled him out weeks early.

My daughter has been at MJMA for 5 years and is heading into first grade there next year. My son is in his 3rd year, and is heading into Primary next year. This school is incredible and we recommend it highly! Everything from they way they learn concrete concepts, to the responsibility for their actions and words, to instilling and cultivating confidence in a child, to the belief that children have so much to offer and to teach in addition to learning has us as permanent members of this community. We plan to keep our children here through sixth grade, and have loved every single moment.
