The middle aged tall large built guy that works the cash register clearly has a disdain for a certain group of people. He never greeted anyone I noticed from the start, however that's not my main complaint, but it definitely plays a part in this employee's character. After quickly getting what I came in for, I decided to look at an item with my child that was close by the checkout lines. After looking up, I clearly see this guy with his back turned from the front door (which he should've been more interested in watching) with his eyes lasered in on me and my child for whatever reason and it made me feel very uncomfortable being he had a very blank stare on his face. Let me say that I'm a frequent customer at this location, and I've never seen this particular employee until now, and never was I made to feel like I wasn't welcomed or needed to be monitored while shopping in any of my past visits until now. Once we got in line to pay for our items, this guy trust to throw the bar used to separate customers items across the conveyer belt that landed smack by where I was in line rather than sliding it down for customers to access one from the slot they go into like a normal person would do. There were 2 other dividers at the end of the conveyor belt, so his act in doing this was completely unnecessary. I didn't like it to say the least, because never do you throw anything at anyone so, I found that to be a very offensive gesture on his part. Mind you, he NEVER spoke a word STILL to anyone and you could sense the tension oozing from this guy. I ignored it and instead decided to make short conversation with the customer in front of me he was checking out who also had a very puzzled look on her face due to his demeanor. Now all of a sudden he could open his mouth to talk, however not to greet anyone, but to insert himself into our conversation by cracking a joke in reference to a compliment I gave her. The customer and I slightly laughed it off and he continued checking her out. As the customer in front of me was gathering her bags, I then commented on one of the items I noticed she purchased that I had the exact same one. Yet again, this guy butts in and this time made a reference at me personally as to how he thought I may use that particular item, and compared it to a scene in a well known black film, so I guess in his mind I should've found it amusing since me and the customer in front of me are of the same ethnicity. Needless to say I didn't find it humorous at all, nor did she. #1 Being that this guy isn't polite in the slightest way, he should've remained quiet and he was completely out of line. #2 he doesn't know a thing about me to try and be comical about anything he feels the need to compare me to when just 5 mins prior, he was eye stalking me and my kid. #3 he has no common courtesy or respect and it's clear he tries to intimidate people and disguise his personal hang ups behind TRYING to be sarcastically witty. I feel if you can't be respectable and treat people like normal customers without coming off as obnoxious and arrogant, you really should stay quiet and just do your job. I did have a response for him that apparently hit a soft spot that in turn made him feel the need to blurt out his accolades to try and look like a big shot, however he is the same person that lacks basic customer service skills. My suggestion to Dollar Tree is to be more mindful of the people they put up front to be the face of their establishments that don't try to insult or intimidate their PAYING customers.

I do not like to give negative reviews BUT my visit to this store is worth mentioning. I had placed an online order and forgot about it, my mistake totally! I had a call from one of the employees to remind me my order was ready to pick-up. Boom, drive over to the store and my order was sitting in the front with my information listed on the box. The assistant manager? had to process the transaction, after 22 minutes my patience was running low and I expressed my displeasure at having to wait for him to figure out his paperwork when it clearly showed it was my order and it was paid for online. He became rather aggravated at me for questioning his lack of knowledge in processing an online order and the interaction digressed even further when he directed his anger at me for being " inpatient " needless to say, was not a good experience. There was a bright spot in this visit the young lady at the register was polite and friendly, maybe they should make her the assistant manager.

I just stopped in for a few basic items and witnessed a karen giving the manager a hard time about the lack of a return policy. (No returns or credits, exchanges only) The manager was calm the whole time and was very patient with karen. I was tired of hearing karen repeat herself as if the policy was going to magically change. I kindly told her that was the real policy and has been for a long time. Karen continued repeating herself like a broken record player. Karen was wearing a lavender sweater and took up a large amount of space. (I really would love it if karen reads this one day, shame on you). Karen was blocking the entire check out lane as a cashier scanned my items. Near the end of my purchase, I spoke up to karen again, and told her the policy wasn’t going to change. Karen yelled at me about how she was a customer and it wasn’t my business. I corrected her (because Karens have to keep the act up when they’re obviously wrong; they won’t admit their fault) and told her it was my business since she was blocking my ability to pay. She yelled that it wasn’t even time for me to pay as the cashier scanned my last items. By the time she finished that sentence, the cashier had nothing left to scan. Karen did waddle her butt out of the way, but continued to repeat the same act after I left.Karens, Walmart is next door. They have a return policy. Dollar Tree is not for Karens. Actually, no store is for Karens. Shout out to the manager and cashier for being polite to karen.Next time though, an employee should be the one telling non-purchasing Karens to move out of the way so real customers can pay. -1 star for that and other issues I’ve experienced with this location. I should have been treated with the same courtesy that yucky karen received by the manager as well.

There is a woman who is presently the cashier of this location. She is very rude and disrespectful. He unfriendly disposition is not good for business. She needs to be fired with immediate effect.
