The store changed hands last week. The card reader on the pump didn't work. I handed the cashier a 20 to hold until I was done pumping and then i was going to pay for it on my card. As best as I could tell, he said he couldn't give me my 20 back and run it on my debit card because the cash was already in the drawer(?)AFTER I had already pumped. After acknowledging what I wanted to do, beforehand. I also tried to use a coupon to buy a pack of cigarettes, but he shrugged his shoulders and said something like, " no work sorry" I really couldn't understand. But the older Indian (I think) cashier didn't speak or understand English very well. In fact, none of the three people behind the counter seemed to speak English very well. They did seem to speak Indian (I think. Some foreign language) amongst themselves VERY well though. I have no idea what they were saying or who they were talking about because I don't speak whatever language it was that THEY were speaking. It's a shame. I used to trade with that store on almost a daily basis. The staff was always familiar and friendly. Good folks. It was always a pleasure to do business there. No more. Overnight, they were replaced by people who either don't speak English or just refuse to. Because of the language barrier, I wasn't able to communicate with him. Nothing seemed to work. Card readers on the pumps were screwy. What should have been a 5 minute stop took 20, and was a complete waste of my time. The store is in a handy place for me, but I will not darken their door again. The 4 mile drive to exit 8 actually saves me time. At least the cashiers at those stations speak the same language as me.

I visited this store about a week ago while I was on vacation and the employees there is wonderful .The manager greeted me with a good morning how are you and a smile on her face. The other lady working was also very nice and friendly. The store was very clean and smelled nice. I will be returning to this store when I'm back in town.

I used to go to Lee's food mart on hwy 160. The guy who works there in afternoon consistently tried to short me on my change. Was there one day and he was arguing with customer about the change from a purchase. Unbelievable. His name tag sais Rocco or Nicco. Will not go to another Lee's food Mart if they hire ppl like this.
