The best place around to buy fish. It's not a beautiful place but they have beautiful healthy fish! I have bought from carousel 3 times and all of the fish I've bought from there have died within a week to 2 weeks. Most were the day after I got them. However I have had my fish from fish fair for almost a month now and they are perfectly healthy! I plan on getting more today to add some buddies for my 4 fish I already have! Hope this helps!

Very nice, knowledgeable staff. Clean, healthy tanks and a great variety of fish for both fresh and salt water tanks. A must visit for any aquarium owners. Beautiful and robust plants as well!

This place deserves no stars. The owner is extremly rude and hateful and has no customer care. He screamed and yelled at me and husband for asking simple questions. The place is so nasty and out dated that it needs to be shut down. The fish are way to over priced and didn't look healthy, some fish were in plastic totes with lids and he acted like he is the only one in the world that knows anything about fish which he obviously doesn't. Go at your own risk and be ready to get yelled at!

I love coming here not only to look at their amazing fish but to buy my fish I've gotten very knowledgeable about fish since I've had them (different breeds and tank sizes) almost as long as I've been an actual parent. The staff is nice and helpful and get you what you want!

Fish Fair has an excellent selection of fish and amphibians for your home aquarium. The little old man who owns the store is really nice and quite knowledgeable. We bought a large group of fish and the service was great.

WARNING! Do *NOT* buy anything from this business! You will regret doing so! I was a long time customer. I had spent at least $1,000 on various aquatic animals, and the owner knew me very well. I was a frequent visitor. I asked if he had any African Dwarf Frogs for sale, so he took me to the back room and sold me 2 of them. They grew larger, and larger, and I knew something wasn't right. After doing research online I found out that he had NOT sold me the Dwarf frogs I asked for. Instead, he sold me a somewhat similar species called the African CLAWED Frog. This animal is an invasive species and illegal in many states! It doesn't live for 5 years like the dwarf frogs. It lives for THIRTY years. It also grows tremendously huge, and will eat EVERY FISH IN YOUR AQUARIUM! I started noticing my fish disappearing, but had no idea how, until I actually saw it eat a fully adult fish that was at least 3 inches long...nearly 3/4 the length of the frog itself. I took the frog back to him and very nicely explained that he had sold me a terrible species of frog, assuming he just made an honest mistake. As it turns out, he knew exactly what it was and knew that it would eat all the fish in my aquarium. He even suggested that I release this invasive species into the wild! When I pointed out that you can NOT do that, he just shrugged it off. He refused to replace the frog, or any of the 30 or so fish that the frog had eaten. He refused to even give me a small store credit as a token gesture, and actually tried to blame it on me!!! If you care at all about your aquarium and the anal life in it, you will NOT buy from this man, because he obviously doesn't care about it, nor does he care about very loyal customers who have spent mountains of money at his store. I am now out $1,000, and have a nearly empty aquarium due to his complete lack f caring. I have reported him to the Tennessee Invasive Species Control office, and with any luck, they will shut him down to keep this from happening to someone else, and also to protect the wonderful biodiversity our great area has to offer. PLEASE take this warning to heart. We don't need someone coming into our area who cares nothing about its people, or our wildlife. This type of person should not be allowed to own a business anywhere.

Let's go ahead and get it over with. If you dont know fish, dont go here. The man is simply old and dont have time to try and explain to newbies everything (go to coral reef). If you are coming thru and are experienced you can stop here, better than any big box pet store but small amount of stuff outside of fish themselves. FISH ARE HEALTHY! But you need to know your stuff.

If fancy pet store feel is what you're looking for then this isn't the place for you. I was pleased to see so many mature fish instead of all babies. Prices for established fish were extremely reasonable. Owner very knowledgeable. *visited during Covid pandemic and everyone wore masks* Lots of customers during my 30 minute visit.
