I go to the South Memphis Market to buy the fried seasoned chicken that is always hot!Unfortunately, if you are not from that area then DO NOT GO. It is located in one of the highest crime and murder areas in Memphis, TN!I am an armed security guard who frequently stops in, but not without incident. If the panhandlers don't get you then the gangsters will. I once had my weapon snatched off of my side complete with holster as I was walking back to my truck. 15yards away was a meniscus police officer who had someone pulled over, he did nothing but shrug his shoulders.The people in that area are dirty floor poor and will kill you over nothing if it means they get whatever you have they want.

The gentlemen who own the place are from the Middle East and most likely are Muslim. What is excellent about them is that they do not serve pork, knowing that they probably could make more money if they did. For me that is great because they practice what they preach which is why I go there. Plus, the chicken is great!
