Mr.Wayne is very rude. I hope they eventually find someone else to take over because I don’t know how he calls himself a Christian. HA! The hypocrisy. He cusses on the phone and he’s very nonchalant. You can barely talk to him and if he can’t hear you he’s quick to get upset. Sir, you’re elderly. Have patience for the people you’re “supposed “ to be helping

I MADE CONTACT WITH THIS ORGANIZATION IN AN EFFORT TO OBTAIN SUPPORT FOR A YOUNG FAMILY IN DIRE NEED OF FOOD. I WAS ADVISED THAT NO SUPPORT WOULD BE FORTHCOMING AS THE SOCIETY OF ST. VINCENT DEPAUL WAS INCAPABLE OF RESPONDING IN LIGHT OF THE CURRENT PANDEMIC AND THAT THE SOCIETY WOULD NOT BE OPERATIONAL FOR A MINIMUM OF THREE WEEKS. I DO NOT RECALL JESUS EVER FAILING TO DELIVER ON HIS PROMISE TO SERVE THE MARGINALIZED AND DISENFRANCHISED. OF COURSE, ST. VINCENT DEPAUL WAS NOT JESUS. AND CLEARLY THE SOCIETY OF ST. VINCENT DEPAUL OF MEMPHIS, INC. DOES NOT HAVE THE INDWELLING OF HIS HOLY SPIRIT.

I visit family in Memphis a few times each year. My wife and I are Vincentians, living along the Gulf Coast. We began volunteering at the Ozanam Center a couple of years ago. We occasionally help to prepare meals and serve when in-town. Very kind, patient, and understanding Vincentians. They run a very good operation helping so many people who are in-need. In collaboration with Room at the Inn, they expanded their facility to house the homeless. What a great organization! Nothing but good. Their efforts humble me.

I am proud to be a member of St. Vincent de Paul since 2003. Serving with other Vincentians to help those in emergency situations has brought me closer in heart and mind to Christ. The Ozanam Center food mission has teams of volunteers who serve with open arms and warm smiles for all those that come in for a daily meal.
