Had to return 2 more times because part of the rear view mirror pieces were not connected properly--1st time to report the issue when it fell the day after and the 2nd time for a replacement windshield. Our car was filthy after the second time, like an oily mechanic had been in it--grease all over the new rubber floor mats and the seats. The new Dashskin dashboard was damaged at some point too, with scratches and dings. Disappointed that they do not come to your house in the Memphis area as going to them 3 times (5 if you count having to go back to pick it back up) took time out of our schedules because it's a two person two car job to drop off for replacements.

The customer service and the online porthole they have you go through is alright. During the process of trying to recedule my appointment to a day later the customer service representative let it slip that they wouldn't even have the glass needed to replace my window until over a week later. They let me schedule a appointment without ever telling me they didn't have the part and let me sit and wait until my appointment without ever telling me beforehand. God awful business practices on their part, maybe don't give people false hope.

We have used this Safelite for 2 windshields. We had to return soon after both services because the glass was scratched, not installed correctly, or they did not have the windshield ready to replace the day we had the appointment. One of the technicians dropped a windshield on a car hood.

I had a horribly cracked windshield and it was replaced with another windshield that had a small chip in it. I called the guy who put it in and he said he would have someone call me. They didn’t. I called them and they said they would send someone to “check it out to see whose fault it was,” but the inspection wouldn’t be until weeks later. Guess what happens to a chipped windshield after weeks of driving with it? It guess worse. Guess what the inspector will likely conclude after this happens? My fault. Horrible experience. Not only will I not recommend this company, I will tell people to NOT use them.

The staff are very friendly and professional. I made an appointment to fix my windshield. They were on time, my truck went straight in. I took a star because it leaked the first time it rained. I had to make a second trip but they fixed everything.

Safelight isnt mindful with repair. They were supposed to be fixing a chip in a friend's windshield but added a run and the chip is still there! How in the world does that happen? Not professional at all!

I'm writing to say I initially had an appointment here and changed it to mobile due to the reviews. I did however go here to get a crash wrap which was a free service since I did have an appointment scheduled. I don't understand the negative reviews, From the moment I walked through the door it was so inviting and Heather at the front desk was so nice and courteous. I was in there all of 10 minutes. Spencer was the tech that my covered my window. He also was very nice. I almost switched my appointment back to them when I realized that this was a time the reviews got it wrong. I highly recommend this place 10/10.

Covington Pike location in Memphis is a joke. I made appointment for windshield replacement and was told to drop off by 9:30am dropped car off at 9am there were hardly any cars on the lot. Went home and waited to be notified the work was done. By 2pm still had no texts from the location on the status of the replacement. Called the corporate number and they told me to be there by 5pm and it would be complete. Show up at 4pm and it is STILL in the lot in the same space I parked it in. I asked why it wasn’t done and was told it would be done when they get it done they’ll stay after closing to get it done.
At 4pm the lobby is packed with people who weren’t waiting when I dropped off this morning leading me to believe they get people waiting in the lobby and those that leave to come back later are moved to the end of the line. ]
As of 4:34pm it is still out in the parking lot and closing is at 5pm. They finally started on it at 5:04, meanwhile the people who were here LONG after I dropped my car off at 9am are gone. It’s now 5:41PM no one is in the lobby but me and one other person and still the vehicle is not finished.
Asked one individual whose car was finished what time he dropped his vehicle off he said 9:30am. I dropped mine off 30 minutes before him and still have not got my vehicle back. When I said why wasn’t my car done before theirs all I got was deer in the headlights looks. The store manager and area manager will be made aware of this.
Another person had their vehicle finished before mine now I’m the only one left and it’s 6PM.
At 6:15 PM they FINALLY called my nome only to tell me the calibration of the windshield wouldn’t work so I would have to come back and they would have to order an OEM windshield to replace mine and I’d have to come back on August 26, TWELVE DAYS LATER. When I asked why it took them so long to get to my vehicle after dropping it off at 9am, I was told “Yours was an all day appointment, if you had made a time to drop off then we’d have got to it sooner.”..this information was NEVER conveyed to me when I left the car this morning at 9AM, and is a LIE because the person who picked their vehicle up before me dropped theirs off 9:30AM.
When I brought up being refunded the repair cost of the original crack that expanded making it necessary to replace my windshield, the employee at the front desk (young woman with tattoos) argued with me that I would have to speak to the manager about it when the documentation I had from Satellite CLEARLY states that if the repair doesn’t take and the crack gets big enough to make it necessary to replace the windshield the cost would be refunded to me.
I had to sign a paper to get my vehicle back so now I’m driving a car with no lane assist, no collision detection, no assisted cruise control for the next 12 days.
Thank you for wasting my entire day. Once I FINALLY get my repair completed on August 26 I’ll be using the dealership for any future windshield repairs and tell my friends and family to avoid Safelite.

Twice had an appointment for them to come repair a windshield chip at my house and both times they didn’t show up and didn’t even call to say they wouldn’t make it. If they would have communicated in some way it would have been fine, but twice I blocked off 5 hours of my day to have them no show. Will be getting be repair done elsewhere.

I'd previously had great experiences with Safelite using their mobile service, but my new car needs calibration, so I had to take it in.
Had some issues with the scheduling. Showed up and they didn't have me on the schedule, but it was set up through my insurance, so it could have been on their end. No biggie. I rescheduled for the next day. Showed up, checked in, and waited for over an hour before I was told my glass was "missing" and I needed to reschedule a third time.
I needed it done ASAP and ended up having to go elsewhere. The ladies at reception were nice, but I would recommend calling to make sure you are on the books and that your glass is in before driving there.

This is by far the worst customer experience I have ever witnessed! This location is TRASH!!! We work too hard to have our time and money squandered. This is America. We have options and we will shut your business down!! 1st failure: they ordered the wrong windshield. Mind you I dropped my vehicle off, ordered an Uber and on my way home Safelite calls to say they ordered the wrong windshield. 2nd failure: As a courtesy they said they would give me feee windshield wipers. Plot twist: they still charged me. ?? So I called and asked them to refund my money to which they obliged. 3rd failure: 3 weeks passed and still no refund. So I visited the location and asked what was taking so long. Guess what? They NEVER issued the refund!!! 4th failure: it is now July 27, and I still don’t have my refund—which was suppose to be initiated on July 4. These people don’t value their customers. They just want your money. I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that they are involved with the multiple car break-ins. Absolute crooks! Looking for anyway to make a dollar. RUN ME MY MONEY!!! This is the last time I will ask!
