The store is a okay. The employees are good but I continuously asked the girl for the price of the puppy & he continued to talk to me about paperwork & payments etc but all I wanted was to know the price. Another thing about the puppies …..why are they so overpriced? You’re telling me I’m going to pay 5k for a dog? No ma’am. Dogs are cute & very well taken care of but no Im definitely not buying a pet from here.

Katie I think that’s her name she talks to loud I feel like if I wanted the entire store to know why I couldn’t get a puppy I could have announced it to everyone myself. I told her I seen what the email stated as the decision she still repeated it loudly as there were other customers near. I asked her repeatedly about the price she still was talking about papers for the dog, I simply wanted to know the price and how the payments worked. Other than her letting the store know my business. The visit was very nice puppies are well kept and beautiful. I will be back but will ask for different representative.

I bought a snake from this store and it was immediately acting weird, and got sick. I have kept snakes for years and never had an issue with them until now. It died less than 4 days after getting it home and the store Is refusing to work with me regarding my purchase claiming they did no wrong doing.

We found our perfect new pet, a Uromastix, thanks to Petland. We love GRANDPA. He is thriving because of the instructions for care we were given by the staff member.

My grandchild and I go to visit often. She is allowed to pet the dogs. They have a payment plan. At some point I will let her pick one. I will be going back

I visited Petland on 10/18 with my son to browse their small animal section, but I was disappointed to find a very limited selection. I also had intentions of browsing reptile habitats, but the back two rows were obstructed by boxes, making them inaccessible. I'll have to return at a different time to complete my shopping.

One star just because I went to the website and they won’t tell you the prices. If you can’t tell me the prices then you’re doing some fishy business behind the scenes. Just put your prices up so I can decide rather or not I can afford to make the purchase or not. I’m not about to waste my time waiting and called it and writing an email. What the point of having a website if your not going to give me all the information I’m looking for.

Please do not support Petland! The dogs are all products of Puppy Mills and are almost guaranteed to be unhealthy and have other issues when they grow up. You can find healthy and happy puppies at a shelter for under 100 dollars. If you want a certain breed, please buy from a reputable breeder! You will be happy that you have a quality dog who will love a good, healthy, life! Petlands pets are very, very low quality, and very, very overpriced.

Outstanding customer service! Our puppy kit was missing a couple of items and the staff was quick to give us the items that were missed. They’re all patient and kind and the whole experience was a good one!

This place was awful. As soon as I walked in I could notice a stout and really stronger than normal smell. The rats and some mice were put in a corner away from everything else, where no one could hardly see. The puppies hardly had proper beds, just being a paper thin blanket and a few toys. There was bird p*** on the floor everywhere. The birds were shaking, and losing feathers. The parakeets and budgies were crowded together and put in a cage very low to the ground with barely any space to move around or perch in. They let the customers touch the guinea pigs, mice, and rabbits. They also let the customers bang and punch the animal cages. I wouldn't recommend coming here l, but I'd feel to bad for the animals because they wouldn't be adopted and taken away from that place.

Heartbreaking. The store itself is small, dark, and dingy. It generally appears unkept. The smell of urine is strong when you walk in. The puppies are all in very small cages against the right wall. The puppies could stand up and move in a circle but could not move beyond that. One cage had two pups inside and they appeared cramped. I wanted to play with one just to get it out of the cage, but the employee wanted a drivers license and to discuss financing and low monthly payments. I thought they were kidding and said finance, how much is he? The pup employee said it varies depending on the breed but this guy's "adoption fee" was just over 6,000 dollars. Wow. This is so sad to see puppies in this condition and it's sad for families to be pressured into running credit for a puppy. Try Memphis Animal Services, a true rescue not supporting puppy manufacturing, where there are lots of dog that need good homes for about a 50 dollar or less adoption fee.

I hate that I’m even required to give one star. The cages are filthy, unkempt, and the dogs are not healthy. I wish I could expect better from a certified PUPPY MILL. I guarantee you the store will respond to this post saying the dogs come from “reputable breeders”. FALSE. If you care about the health of animals in this country, do NOT support backyard breeding and puppy mills. It’s disgusting that in 2023 Petland stores still exist

NOT THE PUPPY'S FAULT I am very concerned about the standard of care Petland's puppies receive. I dropped by to see if they had any yellow labs or goldens, they did. They had a yellow lab boy between 10-12 weeks old. I looked at him and thought, okay sweet. I know what puppies this age are like--they are curious, energetic, and TEETHING. For their own safety and comfort they need to have something to chew on at all times. They're a lot to handle at this age but I've done it before. They offered to let me sit with him in one of their visiting stalls. First red flag was they picked him up and brought him into the stall with nothing. No toy, no leash, nothing to occupy him while he worked through his excitement. First two minutes were rough, he immediately started nipping at my ankles and hands, then backing up and pouncing on my arms. I did my best to calmly redirect him but it was no use. Poor thing was desperate to bite into something. So I called for help, no one answers. I then crawled up on the bench and decided to grab my keys & cheap little wallet attachment and take all my cards out so I could throw him my empty wallet to chew on till we got a toy for him. I managed to get someone's attention and they brought him a small plastic chew toy. That occupied him for a good 2 minutes. While he was chewing I looked myself over, there were claw marks all over me and I realized his nails on his paw had not been filed or clipped in a VERY long time. They were sharp as nails and starting to curve back inward toward his foot. He was just playing around with me, but with his nails like that, it was like having a toddler run around with knives strapped to his hands, just inherently dangerous. I stayed a little while longer because I was still(!) interested in this sweet boy but he got bored of his chew toy pretty quick and remembered how fun it was to pounce and nip at me. So he went into hardcore play-fighting mode, started chomping at my hands and arms. Clawing at my face--at one point he knocked my glasses off my face and across the room and I couldn't see him well anymore. All the while I was yelling, calling for help from an attendant. I couldn't leave the visiting stall without being let out. I was disoriented, couldn't move because I didn't want to step on my glasses, and at that point bleeding in several places from scratches that drew blood. The more I tried to contain him and hold him down the harder he fought back and the harder he bit down. I loudly called for help 3 times before he bit my wrist so hard he broke straight through the skin and came out the other side. It hurt and shocked me so much I yelled out an explicative and only then did someone come check on us. At that point I was sobbing, hyperventilating, bleeding, with my ponytail pulled out and my glasses gone. I wasn't crying from the pain as much as the frustration and worry I felt about how they'd react to the dog. I kept saying it wasn't his fault as they led me to the bathroom to get cleaned up. Moral of the story: These guys have no idea what they're doing caring for these dogs. This whole situation could've been prevented with some basic preparation: a leash, a puppy-friendly toy, some nail care, ample exercise/play time to regulate his energy, and adequate supervision of the visiting stalls. I still feel bad for the poor pup but it was an awful experience and I won't be coming back.

Unprofessional rouge dealings. I charged for a month and never received a puppy. I was lied to that contract canceled, to no avail. All of this after, we agreed I would pick puppy up the next day. When I arrived I was told the puppy was sold. I was livid. This still isn’t resolved.
